Alton Towers Resort is located in Staffordshire between the M1 and the M6 and is well signposted from both motorways. 

Season and Opening Hours

Alton Towers Theme Park opens for the 2021 season on 12 April and will be open daily until 7 November 2021. Alton Towers opens at 10.00am with closing times varying through the year.

The iconic Oblivion was the world's first vertical drop rollercoaster. Don't... look... down! Oblivion makes you face your fears... you know you shouldn't look, but you won't be able to stop yourself taking a peek at the colossal vertical 180 feet drop! Riders on Oblivion experience a maximum G force of 4.5.

The dark and mysterious TH13TEEN is the world's first vertical freefall drop rollercoaster. Speed round the track, enter the ancient crypt, and face the horror that lies within.. TH13TEEN has been dubbed a "psychoaster" as it creates a new level of psychological fear!

Spinball Whizzer at Alton Towers

Feel like a pin ball being catapulted along the 470 metre track at speeds of up to 60km per hour! Each car will spin 360 degrees whilst flying around the tracks.

A huge shard of rusty metal from the Nemesis excavation, found by one of our workers, who crafted it into a swing blade that cuts through the Forbidden Valley. Dare you sit right at the back!

Terms and conditions for Alton Towers One Day Ticket

  • To help control capacity, all guests must pre-book a date for their visit to Alton Towers.
  • Your Alton Towers Ticket is only valid for the date selected at the time of booking and cannot be used on any other date.
  • Guests will be required to wear a suitable secured face mask/covering in order to go on a number of rides at Alton Towers. All guests must bring a mask/covering with them when visiting Alton Towers.
  • Children aged 2 years and below go free and do not require an Alton Towers Ticket.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Alton Towers One Day Ticket excludes entrance to the Alton Towers Dungeon and special ticketed events such as Halloween and Fireworks days.
  • Cancellation Policy: Once booked and confirmed this ticket is non-changeable and non-refundable.
