And the fun doesn’t stop there! Throughout 2024, the Resort invites you to a series of sensational celebrations throughout the year for the nation to enjoy! Including CBeebies Land 10 Years Celebration and an array of fantastical events! The season’s festivities begin with Alton After Dark (16th, 23rd and 30th of March) enjoy an after-hours adventure, as the theme park extends its hours until 8 pm. Ride your favourite attractions in the dark! Oktoberfest (7th September - 6th October) is back, get ready for oomptastic family-friendly fun with a German twist this autumn! As the nights get longer, Scarefest beckons. On October’s spookiest dates, tiptoe into Alton Towers Resort for all sorts of creepy surprises as the award-winning Scarefest returns for 2024 (11th October - 3rd November); be prepared for spooktacular fun and thrills and brave your favourite rides in the dark! The Resort’s spectacular Fireworks (8th - 10th November) are dazzling enough to make your jaw drop and your eyes pop, watch our iconic, historic Towers brought to spectacular life with amazing effects and surprises! And finally, for fantastically festive celebrations and seasonal sensations, this Christmas (14th - 31st December), families can make magical memories at the Alton Towers Resort!

Alton Towers Resort is located in Staffordshire between the M1 and the M6 and is well-signposted from both motorways. 

Season and Opening Hours

Alton Towers Theme Park opens for the 2024 season on 16th March 24 and will be open daily until 10th November 2024. Alton Towers opens at 10.00 am with closing times varying throughout the year.

Terms and conditions for Alton Towers Two Day Ticket

  • Your Alton Towers Ticket is only valid for the date selected at the time of booking and the consecutive day for your 2nd. It cannot be used on any other date.
  • Persons under 90cm go FREE.  If your child is under 90cm, they can visit Alton Towers Theme Park for free with the purchase of an individual online ticket.  This must be collected at the attraction.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Height and age restrictions apply on certain rides.
  • Parks, attractions or entertainment may change operating hours, close due to refurbishing, capacity, weather, or special events, and may otherwise change or be discontinued without notice and without liability.
  • Savings message based on 2 one-day tickets on the day price.
  • Alton Towers Two Day Ticket excludes entrance to the Alton Towers Dungeon and special ticketed events such as Halloween and Fireworks days.
  • Cancellation Policy: Free cancellations for bookings cancelled with the supplier 72 hours prior to the tour date. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 72 hours.
