For anybody interested in animals such as tortoises, tarantulas, snakes and of course alligators, it’s a must see destination. I would highly recommend the Trainer for a day option, you have the park to yourself for a couple of hours and our host Peter could not have been nicer or more helpful. You get to pet tortoises, hold a tarantula, have a phyton draped around you and then get to feed the most amazing and beautiful white alligators, the amazing and scarier alligator called Chester. Next your brought into an enclosure near a river where anything from 20 to 50 or more alligators converge and you get to feed these amazing animals which are only a meter or so away from you. Then you get to kneel in front of them to get a photo of a lifetime. There is still one more amazing thing left which is you get to sit on the back of an alligator. After your Trainer for a day experience is over you get to take in the park at your leisure , looking at the other animals on view in the park and taking in the various shows. At no time during the Trainer for a day experience did you feel in danger because our host/ Trainer Peter was on hand to keep you safe and he was a fabulous host. Between Peter and Gatorland they left us with memories we will remember for the rest of our lives.
