This year, share even more fun and thrills, enjoy the UK’s latest wooden rollercoaster experience on Wicker Man, feel G-forces greater than a space shuttle on Nemesis, brave Oblivion’s iconic vertical drop, ride The Smiler’s 14 loops or satisfy your need for speed on Rita – hold on tight! 

For those with little ones in tow, head over to CBeebies Land where the ‘Peter Rabbit TM Hippity Hop’ ride, featuring the mischievous bunny Peter Rabbit and his friends Benjamin and Lily, join the much-loved characters and themed attractions.

Families can also join Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po in a musical extravaganza, as they perform their new show, the ‘Teletubbies Big Band Live Show’!

Season and Opening Hours

Your 2020 Alton Towers ticket begins on the 21st March and is valid until the 5th November. The park opens at 10am while closing times vary throughout the year - check the official Alton Towers website before your visit.

The iconic Oblivion was the world's first vertical drop rollercoaster. Don't... look... down! Oblivion makes you face your fears... you know you shouldn't look, but you won't be able to stop yourself taking a peek at the colossal vertical 180 feet drop! Riders on Oblivion experience a maximum G force of 4.5.

Europe's first ever inverted rollercoaster... your legs are dangling beneath you as you ride! Built in 1994 and still regarded as one of the best rollercoasters in the world there is 250 tonnes of thrilling, twisting and turning coaster, including an underground tunnel!

The Smiler is the world's first 14 loop rollercoaster.  Its twisting track combines the world beating 14 loops with a speed of 85km/hr and a track length longer than Oblivion!  This will challenge your body and mind.

Rita

Rita is the ultimate rollercoaster for speed freaks! From a standing start, hold onto your eyeballs as you're catapulted from 0 to 100km/ph in just two and a half seconds! Rita's maximum speed is 62.1 mph.

The dark and mysterious TH13TEEN is the world's first vertical freefall drop rollercoaster. Speed round the track, enter the ancient crypt, and face the horror that lies within.. TH13TEEN has been dubbed a "psychoaster" as it creates a new level of psychological fear!

The Alton Towers Dungeons*

The Alton Towers Dungeon, a hilariously hideous journey through Staffordshire’s darkest history. You’ll be screaming with laughter whilst you encounter the most frightfully peculiar characters from the past. Take the stand to be sentenced by the dis-honourable Justice of the Peace, the Bishop of Stafford, before being condemned to a traitor’s boat ride down the Black River into the chambers of the Dungeon. Miss it and you’ll be GUTTED!

CBeebies Land

For those with little ones in tow, CBeebies Land is the perfect place to explore and meet some of your favourite CBeebies friends including the Teletubbies, as they perform their live show. Plus a whole host of fantastic family rides and attractions including Postman Pat’s Parcel Post, Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure and Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop Ride.

Terms and conditions for Alton Towers Resort One Day Ticket

  • Our Alton Towers Tickets are open-dated and you can choose to visit Alton Towers at any time between now and the 5th November 2020, as long as you pre-book a park reservation slot in advance. The date you select at the time of booking is an indication and not the guaranteed visit date. Details of how to book your Alton Towers visit will be included on your ticket. 
  • Alton Towers Theme Park reservations are subject to availability and specific dates cannot be guaranteed.
  • Children aged 2 and below go free.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
  • Excludes entrance to the Dungeon and special events such as Halloween and Fireworks days 6th, 7th and 8th November 2020.
  • Cancellation Policy: Tickets can be cancelled for free until they are downloaded from your customer account. Once tickets have been downloaded, your Alton Towers ticket is non-refundable.
