Is Universal Studios better than Islands of Adventure?

Both parks have something to offer guests. They are connected through the Hogwarts Express, which allows guests to easily hop between Diagon Alley in Universal Studios and Hogsmeade/Hogwarts in Islands of Adventure. You will find a variety of different rides in both parks from Jurassic World to Harry Potter, Marvel Superheroes and Minions. There is so much to enjoy making them both great for all ages and preference of ride. What is there to do at Universal's Islands of Adventure?

Universal parks offer something for everyone and Islands of Adventure is no different. There's thrilling roller coasters, exciting water rides, cool character experiences and a whole Dr Seuss inspired land for the younger ones. Some of our favourite areas here would include the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic Park and Marvel Superheroes.

Is Universal's Islands of Adventure part of Universal?

Universal Orlando Resort had 3 parks: Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay.

Are Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure connected?

Both Universal parks offer something for everyone and will have a mix of roller coasters, simulators, character encounters and shows. Universal Studios offers a greater number of indoor rides whilst Islands of Adventure is home of some fantastic water rides including Jurassic Park.

Is there an Islands of Adventure in California?

The only Universal's Islands of Adventure is in Orlando though some attractions (like Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey) can be found in other Universal parks around the world.

Duration of Visit

How many days do I need for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure?

We always recommend 2 days per park to see and do everything, particularly if you love Harry Potter and want to explore the Wizarding World in detail. It is also a great idea to get o the parks early as this is when they will be at their quietest. Our 14 day tickets allow you to come and go from all 3 Universal parks as you please, with total flexibility, and also allow you to move between Universal's Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios via the Hogwarts Express. If you have limited time or travelling during peak season, we recommend upgrading to a Universal Express Pass ticket.

How do I get from Universal Studios to Islands of Adventure?

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure sit side by side. The front gates are 2 minutes walk from each other (passing by the mouth-watering Toothsome Chocolate Emporium) or you can hop on the Hogwarts Express which connects the Wizarding World of Harry Potter of Universal Studios (Diagon Alley) to the one in Islands of Adventure (Hogsmede Village)

How far is Islands of Adventure from Universal Studios?

The two parks sit side by side making hopping between the two parks vary easy either on foot or through the Hogwarts Express ride

Is Halloween Horror Nights in Islands of Adventure?

Islands of Adventure was home to Halloween Horror Nights in 2002, since then the event has always taken place in Universal Studios.
