Halloween Horror Nights is one of our favourite theme park events - even though it absolutely terrifies us! This annual Halloween spectacular takes place at Universal Studios Florida, bringing to life some of the most famous horror stories of all time.
This year's event has now come to a close, but it's never too soon to start getting excited for next year's spooky season.
Halloween Horror Nights 2026 ran on select nights between August 28th and November 1st. So, if you're visiting Orlando next autumn and think you've got what it takes to face the monsters, mutants and maniacs, you really should check it out.
This year was the 35th year that Universal Orlando have hosted Halloween Horror Nights, and the frightening fun began earlier than ever! One of the event highlights has to be the terrifying haunted houses. These offer a walk-through experience where guests can relive scenes from classic horror franchises, as well as new stories that are Universal original creations.
And the very first house announced was Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control. Every scream had been leading to this. Guests discovered the unsettling origins of Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow's undying rivalry before stepping through a portal into the wickedly twisted Oddverse. They were caught in the middle as these two icons of terror pitted chaos versus control - and found that their forces of horror are most fearsome combined.
Of course, that's not all. There are also scare zones set up throughout the park, where live actors roam the streets looking for people to terrorise. These zones are one of the scariest parts of Halloween Horror Nights as there's nowhere to hide - you simply can't avoid them!
