This scenic cruise glides past the city’s historic riverside landmarks, iconic attractions, and peaceful wildlife habitats, all while you listen to entertaining, easy-to-follow commentary that brings Brisbane’s story to life.

After a smooth cruise upriver, you’ll arrive at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary. With up to 3 hours to explore. Wander leafy pathways, meet Australian wildlife, watch keeper talks, and snap that essential koala photo moment.

When it’s time to head back, simply re-join the boat for a calm and comfortable return cruise to the city, giving you one more chance to enjoy Brisbane’s beautiful river views.

Departs:

This tour departs every day of the week, excluding Christmas Day and ANZAC Day.

Start times:

The cruise departs from Cultural Centre Pontoon at 9.00am. Boarding starts at 8.30am.

Duration:

Around 5.5 hours. You will have 3 hours to explore the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

  • There is a cafe on board to indulge in homemade morning teas, meals and snacks and a large range of beverages (at your own expense)
  • The itinerary may be altered due to public holidays and is subject to change without notice.
  • Children from 0-2 years are not catered for.
  • Hotel transfers are not included. The cruise departs from Cultural Centre Pontoon located on the Boardwalk outside the Queensland Art Gallery/GOMA Cultural Precinct at Southbank.
  • Please note: There are 28 stairs to climb from the boat to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary entry gates.

Free cancellations and amendments are allowed for bookings cancelled with the tour operator up to 24 hours before your chosen activity date. Please keep in mind that there is a significant time difference between Australia and the UK, so be sure to allow for this when making your cancellation. After the 24-hour window, no amendments or refunds will be provided.
