Disney Resort Hotel, use Extra Magic Hours

If you’re staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, use Extra Magic Hours – these give you the opportunity to escape the crowds and visit the parks outside of regular opening hours at no extra charge.

From May 2026 through January 2027, Guest rooms at the nearby Jambo House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo refurbishment. Most amenities will remain available throughout the refurbishment.

Beginning Aug. 17, the lobby and nearby areas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village will undergo refurbishment in phases. The work is expected to be completed in early Nov. Closures will take place in phases:

• Aug. 17–Oct. 9: The main lobby and primary entrance will be closed. During this time, check-in will move to the Palace Library.

• Aug. 17–28: Johari Treasures will be closed.

• Sept. 28–Oct. 9: The north side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, the north side lobby elevators on the second floor and the outdoor terrace observation deck will be unavailable.

• Oct. 26–Nov. 6: The south side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, Community Hall, Safari So Good Arcade, the laundry room, the Palace Library, lobby restrooms and outdoor terrace observation deck will be unavailable.

Guests may see or hear construction activity in the lobby area during daytime hours, including periods of more noticeable noise, until the work is complete.

Jiko - The Cooking Place

This restaurant serves traditional African cuisine along with South African wines, and is open for dinner only. Jiko’s specialty is creative American cooking with a blend of multicultural influences from the Mediterranean coast, India, and Europe including seafood, steak, chicken, vegan and vegetarian offerings infused with a blend of mouth watering fragrant spices.
Reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit.
Boma - Flavours of Africa

Designed to replicate an African marketplace; Boma offers buffet-style breakfasts and dinners. Open kitchens that feature a wood-burning grill allow guests to watch the culinary team prepare great food that includes vegetarian dishes, fresh salads, grilled seafood, and roasted meats inspired by the varied flavours of over 50 African countries.
Reservations highly recommended and can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit.
Sanaa

Sanaa is a unique, themed restaurant where you can experience the art of African cooking with Indian flavours, you may also catch a glimpse of gazelles, giraffes & Zebra as the beautiful exotic animals roam the Sunset Savanna. Kids menus are available for those wanting the more familiar choices like Pizza, healthy options are also available.
Reservations are highly recommended and came be made 180 days prior to your stay.
Guests must be 21 years or over to order alcoholic beverages.
Victoria Falls Lounge

A quiet spot overlooking Boma - Flavours of Africa, this lounge is a great spot to relax. Why not sample some seasonal cheeses along with one of the vintage South African wines the lounge has to offer. Cocktails, International beers, African breads & dips are also available.
Uzima Springs

Unwind poolside at Uzima Springs Pool Bar where you can enjoy a selection of tasty sandwiches and a variety of cold beverages including frozen specialty drinks. Salads and other light snacks are also available.
Mara

Located inside of Jambo House, Mara is a savanna themed, quick service restaurant, that serves an array of mouth watering meals including African stews, half-chicken dinners, pitas and more. Traditional American favourites like burgers and flatbreads are also available. Breakfast is available until 11am.

Another great day. Lots of things to do, the safari was a favourite along with many other rides. Seeing the Tigers & Gorillas were great. River rapids were good The "wild" sticker books were good too for the girls & very informative Seeing Bluey & Bingo & dancing with them was an absolute favourite with our 4 year old granddaughter!!

Really enjoyed Magic Kingdom Seeing our 4 year old granddaughter's face see the castle for the first time & meeting princesses was incredible. Also seeing her sister (our other granddaughter), aged 10 enjoy the parade, the rides & meeting princesses was brilliant too, even though she'd been lucky enough to go 7 years ago. Together they both enjoyed rides, meeting princesses & lots more !!

Great we love Epcot, went around lunchtime & stayed for the fireworks which we saw in "England" after eating fish & chips , stayed there at our table to watch the fireworks & had a great view. They were amazing 😄

Star wars land is epic. Slinky dog dash is worth the wait in line and the Tron ride was.....very short. We found that Lightning line passes were a waste of time for our party. The queues were not bad at all and if you tried to grab a Lightning lane pass, even well in advance like we did, the only ones on off were later on in the evening. Even though the parks were quite quiet 🤔🤔🤔🤔.. it didnt ruin our time here though...just wouldn't necessarily buy the Lightning lane passes again

Great park with great rides. Decided not to buy Lightning lane passes for this park and glad we didnt. Longest we queued was for flight of passage and that was 60 mins (and that was the second time on it that day) Wish disney would go back to the old fast pass system which was free and was alot less hassle

Guardians of the galaxy ride is amazing. Looks like they have had some investment since our last visit. Soarin was a nice touch for the USA 250 anniversary. Epcot still needs a few more great rides. But that is my own personal opinion
