Standing on the bridge into Arendelle for the first time, with The North Mountain rising ahead of you and the strains of a Nordic orchestra drifting across the water, it’s hard not to feel a little bit of magic. World of Frozen - the landmark new world that opened at Disney Adventure World (Disneyland® Paris’ reimagined second Park) on 29 March 2026 - is a genuinely breathtaking addition to one of Europe’s most beloved family theme parks.
It’s the largest single addition to Disneyland® Paris since the Park itself opened in 2002, transforming what was once a half-day visit into a full day of discovery. We’ve put together this complete guide, covering everything from the Frozen Ever After ride to the best photo spots, so you can make the most of every moment in Arendelle.
What is World of Frozen?
World of Frozen is a new world at Disney Adventure World, bringing to life Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen (2013) and Frozen 2 (2019). You can step into the Kingdom of Arendelle, set during the Snowflower Festival - a celebration marking the moment Anna saved Elsa through an act of true love.
World of Frozen is included with valid admission to Disney Adventure World. If you’d also like to enjoy Disneyland Park during the same day, choose a 2-Park ticket or Multi-Days ticket so you have the freedom to explore both Disney Parks!
Here’s what you’ll find inside:
- Frozen Ever After - a family boat ride through Arendelle with unforgettable songs, dazzling surprises and no height restrictions, so everyone can enjoy together!
- A Celebration in Arendelle - a 15-minute live show performed on the fjord in front of Arendelle Castle, multiple times daily.
- Rencontre Royale - a Character Meet and Greet with Anna and Elsa inside Arendelle Castle.
- Nordic Crowns Tavern - a Quick-Service restaurant with a customisable Nordic menu, open for lunch and dinner.
- Arendelle Boutique and Fjord View Shop - two enchanting retail experiences with exclusive merchandise.
- Roaming characters including Oaken and Mossie the baby troll making exploring Arendelle extra special.

Where is World of Frozen?
World of Frozen sits at the end of Adventure Way - the wide, flat promenade that runs through the heart of Disney Adventure World.
From the Park entrance, simply walk straight ahead. The world is around 10-15 minutes on foot, and the route is smooth and pushchair-friendly with no cobblestones. The North Mountain gradually comes into view as you approach, making the walk feel like a deliberate cinematic reveal!
Disney Adventure World is a separate Park from Disneyland Park (the classic castle Park). If you’re booking a 1-Day/1-Park ticket, you’ll spend the day fully immersed in Disney Adventure World and won’t be able to visit Disneyland Park. We highly recommend a Park hopper ticket which gives you the ability to go between Parks as the two Parks sit side-by-side:
- Disneyland® Paris 1-Day/2 Parks Dated Hopper Ticket
- Disneyland® Paris 2 Day/2 Parks Dated Hopper Ticket
- Disneyland® Paris 3 Day/2 Parks Dated Hopper Ticket
- Disneyland® Paris 4 Day/2 Parks Dated Hopper Ticket
The atmosphere inside Arendelle
Step across the bridge into the village and Arendelle comes alive around you. Norwegian-inspired timber buildings decorated with traditional rosemaling (painted folk-art motifs) line the central square, where the Friendship Fountain sits at the heart of everything.
The colour palette - deep blues, terracottas, warm ambers and mossy greens - feels rich and considered. The ambient soundtrack weaves orchestral arrangements of music from both films with traditional Nordic instruments, recorded with a near-90-piece orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London. It’s pleasingly varied and not just “Let It Go” on a loop!
The storytelling detail hidden around the village is worth slowing down for. Keep an eye out for:
- A wanted poster declaring Prince Hans disgraced and banished
- Barrels of pickled radishes labelled with the Duke of Weselton’s name
- A sign apologising that summer ice is currently unavailable (Han’s fault, naturally)
- A moored boat whose Norwegian name translates as The Snow Queen - a nod to the Hans Christian Anderson story that inspired the films
- A copy of the Arendelle Daily Press with the front-page news that Samantha has finally been found
- Three hidden Brunis (the fire salamander from Frozen 2) scattered around the world - two among the rocks near the entrance bridge (one is notoriously hard to spot), and a third near the lighthouse, visible from the bridge at a low angle
World of Frozen is especially beautiful after dark. The buildings and The North Mountain are dramatically lit, light reflects off Arendelle Bay, and the whole world takes on a quality that makes it hard to leave.
Frozen Ever After - the headline ride
The centrepiece attraction is Frozen Ever After - a family-friendly indoor boat ride that takes guests through scenes from both films, from the Valley of the Trolls and Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post all the way up to Elsa’s Ice Palace and back down via a short backwards drop.
There’s no height restrictions. Children of any age can ride, though those under seven must be accompanied by an adult. The ride itself is about five minutes long. The queue is beautifully themed throughout and worth absorbing - it passes through Kristoff’s Ice Master office, a Valley of Trolls antechamber, and a commemorative fresco honouring a real 400-year-old hamlet discovered on the site during construction.
Key information about Frozen Ever After:
Type | Family boat ride (indoor/outdoor) |
|---|---|
Height restriction | None (under-7s must be accompanied by an adult) |
Ride duration | Approx. 5 minutes |
Splash risk | Yes - front row seats stay driest |
Premier Access One | Available (€16-€19 per person, via the Disneyland® Paris app) |
Single Rider | Available |
Disney Hotel early entry | Yes - via Extra Magic Time (30 min before Park opening) |
Our queueing tip: The most effective strategy is arriving at the turnstiles 45-60 minutes before official Park opening and walking straight to Arendelle at rope drop. The first 30 minutes of the day consistently offers the shortest waits. If you can’t make rope drop, Single Rider is a great alternative for adults travelling without young children.
A Celebration in Arendelle - the live show
Don’t let anything get in the way of watching A Celebration in Arendelle. Performed multiple times daily on the fjord in front of Arendelle Castle, this 15-minute live show is the emotional heart of the world, and the element most consistently singled out by visitors as the one not to miss!
The show features:
- Three Viking-style longships sailing across Arendelle Bay, carrying Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Sven.
- A next-generation free-walking, life-size Olaf animatronic - genuinely one of the most extraordinary pieces of theme Park technology you’ll see anywhere!
- Synchronised fountains, lighting effects and water choreography come together for a magical moment.
- A score featuring classic songs from the films, including “Let It Go” and “Into The Unknown”.
- A brand-new original song, “Snowflower Magic”, written specifically for Disneyland® Paris by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez - the Oscar-winning duo behind the films’ music, and available on streaming platforms now.
Show times vary and change seasonally, so always check the Disneyland® Paris app or the printed times guide on the day. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to secure a good spot at the bay railings - a dedicated children’s viewing area at the front was added in May 2026, allowing little ones to see clearly without being blocked by others.
Meeting Anna, Elsa and Olaf
The Anna and Elsa Character Encounter, otherwise known as the Rencontre Royale (“Royal Encounter”), takes place inside Arendelle Castle, in a beautifully themed walk-through experience exclusive to Disneyland® Paris. You pass through the Portrait Gallery before meeting both queens together in the majestic hall, with a view of Elsa’s Ice Palace filling the window behind them.
Rencontre Royale requires a free virtual queue reservation via the Disneyland® Paris app. Slots open twice daily - currently around 9:45am and 2:00pm - and fill within minutes on busy days, so have the app open and be ready the moment booking opens!
Olaf is best experienced during A Celebration in Arendelle. Roaming characters including Oaken and Mossie the baby troll also wander the village. Check the Character Locator in the app for live locations.
Character tip: Olaf’s appearances outside the show are special and not guaranteed, so it’s best not to promise the little ones a personal meeting! Treat any sighting in the village as a lovely bonus rather than a plan.
Dining at Nordic Crowns Tavern
Nordic Crowns Tavern is the Quick-Service restaurant inside the world, open for lunch and dinner with no reservations required. The interior is worth visiting for its own sake - carved staircases, iron chandeliers and galleries of royal portraits fill the multiple themed rooms. Mobile ordering is available via Click & Collect in the Disneyland® Paris app, which is the best way to avoid the till queue at busy times.
The menu is built around a customisable Nordic bowl. You choose:
- A base: mashed potato or quinoa
- A protein: grilled salmon, turkey meatballs, Nordic meatballs or plant-based meatballs
- A sauce: tangy cranberry or creamy dill
- Seasonal vegetables
Desserts include blue sorbet, vanilla ice cream with toppings and Nordic-style pastries. A full adult menu with dessert and drink runs around €22-€24; a kids’ set menu is €14. Gluten-free and vegan options are clearly accommodated, and an allergen “blue folder” is available on request. The Arendelle Swirl (a bright-blue themed slushy) and the meatball bowls are among the most recommended items.
If you’re considering the Regal View Restaurant & Lounge on the nearby Adventure Way - a Table-Service character dining option with direct views over the lake - it’s a lovely setting, but book well in advance through the Disneyland® Paris app as it fills quickly!
Shopping in Arendelle
There are two shops inside World of Frozen, both worth exploring even if you’re not planning to buy:
Arendelle Boutique
Sitting at the exit of Frozen Ever After (with its own separate outdoor entrance), this is the world’s main retail space. It’s themed as a toy shop that once crafted playthings for the young princesses. The merchandise leans into Scandinavian craft and artistry:
- “Arendelle Authentic” embroidered clothing and accessories, including a navy sweatshirt and exclusive Anna Minnie ears.
- Artisanal wooden sculptures, rosemaling-decorated homeware and intricately carved figurines.
- Frozen plush, Anna and Elsa figurines, snow globes and character ornaments.
- Snowflower Festival postcards, postable from the letterbox beside the shop, stamped with a special Arendelle postmark before sending.
Look behind the registers for a ballerina and tin soldier display - you’ll find a quiet Hans Christian Andersen Easter egg!
Fjord View Shop
The smaller, more interactive of the two shops, centred on Rúna - a next-generation interactive baby troll exclusive to this Park. Rúna blinks, moves her ears, lights up and responds to touch! She also reacts at key spots around the world. A “meeting ceremony” takes place before you purchase Rúna.
The shop also offers:
- A dedicated area for Nordic-inspired hairstyles and face-painting, ideal for younger visitors wanting to dress as citizens of Arendelle.
- A build-your-own mini figurine jar activity (€35 flat), where you fill a jar with your choice of Frozen character figures.
- An extensive Olaf plush collection - poseable figures, book-accompanied sets and blanket-wrapped variants.
Is World of Frozen worth visiting?
Yes! World of Frozen has transformed Disney Adventure World into a Park that comfortably fills a full day, and the level of care put into the world’s design, theming and entertainment is evident at every turn.
Frozen Ever After is an outstanding attraction, the live entertainment of A Celebration in Arendelle is a show not to miss, and every corner of World of Frozen has been thoughtfully designed to immerse Guests in the Kingdom of Arendelle.
A few honest things to bear in mind before you go:
- World of Frozen works best as part of a multi-day trip. With one main attraction, one live show, one Character Encounter, one tasty restaurant and two shops, you can experience everything in around 2-4 hours, so it belongs within a longer Disneyland® Paris stay rather than as the sole reason to travel.
- Waits for Frozen Ever After can be significant at peak times without a strategy. Rope drop, Single Rider and Disney Premier Access are your main tools - check out our tips section below.
- There is no dedicated thrill element. This is a gentle, family-oriented world - Guests looking for bigger rides will find more at Avengers Campus or in Disneyland Park.
Expert tip: Our experts suggest that World of Frozen is best for families with children aged 3-12, Disney fans who enjoy environmental storytelling and hidden detail, and anyone doing a 2-night or longer Disneyland® Paris trip with both Parks. If you’re a first-time visitor, you should still make time for Disneyland Park - the classic castle-Park experience remains the cornerstone of any visit!
World of Frozen accessibility
The world has been designed with accessibility in mind. Adventure Way and all paths through Arendelle Village are wide, flat and smooth - no cobblestones - making them fully navigable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs. A few things to know though:
- Frozen Ever After requires a transfer from wheelchair to boat. No wheelchair-accessible boats are available, though a transfer board is provided on request.
- Disneyland® Paris operates two accessibility cards - the Priority Card for guests with a recognised disability, and the Easy Access Card for guests with long-term illness. UK visitors can pre-register online up to one month before arrival.
- Priority Card holders have dedicated entry queues for the world, for Frozen Ever After, and for the A Celebration in Arendelle disability viewing area.
- Rencontre Royale still requires a virtual queue reservation for all guests, including disability cardholders. A dedicated entry queue is then available once a slot is confirmed.
- A “Blue Booklet” covering the sensory characteristics of each attraction (noise levels, lighting, darkness, motion) is available from Guest Relations and downloadable from the official Disneyland® Paris website before you travel.
Frozen Ever After features dark areas, strobe-like lighting effects and a small backwards drop - worth preparing sensory-sensitive guests for in advance. The smaller side rooms of Nordic Crowns Tavern are quieter than the main hall, and the Tangled garden area along Adventure Way offers a good sensory reset spot away from speakers.
Top tips for visiting World of Frozen in 2026
- Download the Disneyland® Paris app before you arrive and link your tickets. Live wait times, virtual queue access, mobile food ordering and the Character locator all live here. It’s the most useful tool in the Park!
- Arrive early. Be at the main entrance 45-60 minutes before the Park opens. Disney Hotel guests receive 30 minutes of Extra Magic Time - use this to walk straight to Arendelle before everyone else arrives.
- Book the Rencontre Royale virtual queue as soon as you enter the Park. Slots open around 9:45am and 2:00pm, and they go fast! This is the only guaranteed way to meet Anna and Elsa.
- Avoid Frozen Ever After mid-afternoon without a plan. This is when waits are the longest. Use Single Rider if you’re happy to be split from your group, or use Premier Access One (€16-€19 per person) on busier days.
- Catch A Celebration in Arendelle. Multiple performances run daily - check the app for times. Arrive 30-45 minutes early for a railing spot. Don’t skip it for an extra hour of browsing.
- Stay for the evening. World of Frozen looks spectacular after dark, and wait times for Frozen Ever After often drop sharply in the last 30-45 minutes before the Park closes. Sometimes you can walk straight on!
- Watch the nighttime show on your first evening. Disney Cascade of Lights (the spectacular over Adventure Bay) can be cancelled in high winds or rain, so seeing it early gives you a backup night later in your trip if the weather turns.
Bonus: Best photo spots in World of Frozen
- The bridge into Arendelle offers the cinematic first reveal - morning light hits the buildings directly and The North Mountain frames beautifully behind the village.
- Cross to the Tangled side of Adventure Bay and shoot back across the water for the postcard panorama.
- The Friendship Fountain in the central square is lovely at any time of day, but the after-dark version - reflected in the water with the buildings glowing around it - is one of the most memorable images in the Park.
- The Clock Tower above the Frozen Ever After entrance and the lighthouse at the water’s edge are two tucked-away favourites worth seeking out.
- And if you’re staying late, don’t miss the blue-hour shot of Arendelle’s reflection in Arendelle Bay. Some visitors rate it the single best vista in the Park!
