Disney Character meet and greets at Disneyland® Paris
Disney Character Meet and Greets, or Character Encounters as they’re also known, take place throughout the Disney Parks. A Character Encounter is where a Disney Character is at a certain place at a designated time, and you can meet them.
During a Character Encounter, you can:
- Interact with the Disney Character
- Ask for an autograph
- Take a photo individually or as a group
Top tip: Pick up an autograph book at one of the shops at Disneyland® Paris at the beginning of your first day. Getting it early means you won’t miss any surprise Character Meetings, and the autograph book makes for a fantastic souvenir. Be warned: some of the villains may refuse to sign!
How long do Character Encounters last?
Meet and Greets typically last for a few minutes – plenty of time to get a picture, an autograph, and have a bit of a chat. If there are any specific Characters you really want to meet, consider wearing something related to that Character, like a t-shirt or pin, as then your interaction might last a little bit longer.
Do I need to book a Character Encounter?
That depends. For some Character Encounters, like the Hero Training Center in Marvel Avengers Campus, you’ll need to join a virtual queue. You can do this on the Disneyland® Paris Mobile App when you’re in the Disney Parks. For other Character Encounters, you can join a line and wait your turn to meet them.
The Disneyland® Paris app has all the information on which Disney Characters are where and how to meet them, so check this on the day of your visit.
