Whether you’ve already booked your Paris trip or you’re just considering it, you might not be quite sure what to expect. But don’t worry, we can help you prepare – and you’ll be a Disney expert in no time!
Read on to find out everything you need to know about Disneyland® Paris. Let the magic begin!

About Disneyland® Paris
Disneyland® Paris is located just east of Paris, France, in Marne-la-Vallée. It’s more than just a magical theme park (although it is that, too!). In fact, Disneyland® Paris comprises two incredible theme parks, seven hotels, a golf course, and an entertainment complex.
It’s the perfect location for your first family theme park holiday, and there’s genuinely something for everyone here, from adrenaline-pumping thrill rides to twirls on the teacups, and more sedate boat rides! Add to this West End-style shows, spectacular fireworks, and Disney Character meetings, and you’ve got all the ingredients to create some unforgettable memories.
Aside from two of the hotels, the whole of the Disneyland® Paris site is walkable, and the two theme parks are located right next to each other. Most of the hotels also offer a complimentary shuttle service to the parks… the only one that doesn’t is located right at the park entrance!
We recommend spending at least three days in Disneyland® Paris and longer if you want to take it at a more relaxed pace.
Disneyland® Paris features:
- 2 theme parks – Disneyland® Park and Walt Disney Studios® Park
- 7 on-site hotels
- 1 off-site holiday village
- 1 golf course
- Disney Village – entertainment complex with restaurants, bars, shops, and a cinema
Before your trip
Before you embark on your trip to Disneyland® Paris, a bit of pre-planning is needed to ensure you have the most unforgettable holiday. Buying your park tickets and booking your hotel are some of the first things to tick off your list. Then, it’s time to get your suitcases ready!

How to get to Disneyland® Paris
The site for Disneyland® Paris was chosen due to its easy access for the rest of Europe. It’s especially straightforward to get there from the UK, and you can choose from a variety of travel methods, including:
- Flying from most major UK airports
- Driving your own car and taking the ferry or Channel Tunnel crossing
- Eurostar from St Pancras station in London
If you’re booking a hotel and ticket package with AttractionTickets.com, you can also add Eurostar transport to Disneyland Paris via Lille, so everything is included conveniently all in one booking!
Getting there from Paris: If you can, we recommend having a day or two in Paris during your holiday. It’s a fantastic city with plenty to see, and it’s easy to get between the two. There is a direct train from central Paris to Disneyland® Paris and back again.
Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy train station is situated right next door to Disneyland® Paris, and this is where you’ll get the train and the Eurostar connection. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is also just 10 minutes away by train.
Disneyland® Paris hotels
One of the most important elements of your holiday is where to stay when you visit Disneyland® Paris. You can choose from on-site Disney® Hotels, which are operated by Disney, and Disneyland® Paris Area Hotels, which are close by but are owned by different companies (also referred to as ‘off-site hotels’).
Staying at one of the Disney Hotels gives you access to some fantastic benefits, including early entrance to the theme parks1, Disney theming, and Disney Character meetings. If you go for a Disneyland Paris Area Hotel instead, you might benefit from a lower-cost stay.
There’s a lot of choice, with over 20 accommodation options and with so many options, it can be difficult to choose. We’ve put together this guide to Disneyland® Paris hotels <ADD LINK HERE WHEN LIVE> to help you decide.
Our Recommendations
Disneyland® Paris tickets
We recommend buying your Disneyland® Paris tickets in advance of your visit. Buying before your visit can save you time, as you don’t need to go to the ticket office at the parks. You’ll also get the best deals when you book before you travel.
At AttractionTickets.com, we offer a range of Disneyland® Paris tickets:
Hopper tickets allow you to move between the two parks as you like. One-park tickets mean you can only visit one of the theme parks. You can also choose between dated tickets for a specific date or open tickets if you want to keep your plans flexible. Our tickets with transport include transfers to and from Paris.
What to pack for your Disneyland® Paris holiday
Now you’ve booked your hotel and bought your park tickets, it’s time to get packing! Here are a few things that we recommend you bring with you:
- Trainers or good walking shoes
- Sun cream and sun hat (for summer)
- Hat, gloves, and scarf (for winter)
- Waterproof coat and umbrella
- Reusable water bottle
- Solar power bank
The weather in Paris is similar to that in the UK, following the seasons. The summers can be hot but there can be rain, and it can be very cold during the winter months, so dress accordingly.
There are lots of shops at Disneyland® Paris, so if you’re planning on buying some souvenirs to take back with you, we recommend leaving some space in your case to squeeze these in. This is one of the best reasons to travel to Disneyland® Paris by Eurostar, as you won’t have to worry about any weight limits for your case on the journey home!
During your Disneyland® Paris holiday
This section of the guide will give you an idea of what to expect when you arrive at Disneyland® Paris and some top tips for making the most of your holiday.

Download the Disneyland® Paris app
Forget asking your son/daughter/auntie/uncle/colleague to print off your travel documents when they’re next in the office - you’ll have all the information you need at your fingertips with the Disneyland® Paris app.
On the app, you’ll find booking details for your Disney Hotel and theme park tickets, as well as a countdown to your holiday so you can start getting excited! You can also use mobile check-in if you’re staying in a Disney Hotel and check in up to one week before your stay, allowing you to just pick up your room key when you arrive.
You’ll also find some nifty features to use when you arrive, including:
- Real-time wait information
- Personalised information on attractions
- Maps and directions
- Reservations for restaurants
- Click and collect food and drink at select restaurants
Top tip: You’ll probably be using your phone a fair bit during the day to access the app and take pictures, so bring a solar power bank with you to keep your battery topped up.

Getting around during your trip
How you get around during your holiday to Disneyland® Paris will depend on where you choose to stay. Most of the Disneyland Paris Hotels are within walking distance of the theme parks and Disney Village® and also offer a free shuttle service. The shuttles run around every 12 minutes, seven days a week, between 6.30am and 11pm.
If you’re staying at one of the Disneyland® Paris Area Hotels, you may also be able to catch a complimentary shuttle bus or use the RER train. Some of these hotels are also within walking distance.

Disneyland® Paris dining
There are lots of incredible dining options to choose from at Disneyland® Paris, with over 70 restaurants available throughout the resort. They are split into the following categories:
- Quick service: Similar to a fast food restaurant, you place your order at the counter, are given your tray of food, and you find a table to eat it at
- Table service: A restaurant experience. You’ll be greeted by a server and seated at a table. They’ll bring your menu, take your order, and bring your food and drinks. This can also include buffet restaurants. These are popular so we recommend booking in advance.
