1. Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World

This is one of the most iconic rides at Walt Disney World and is a must try. Splash Mountain is a log flume attraction that features characters and songs from the classis Disney film ‘Song of the South’. You’ll sail through rocky caves, swamps and meadows, passing more than 100 talking and singing characters along the way. Sing along to “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” before facing an exciting 5-storey drop into the water below!

2. Infinity Falls

Infinity Falls at SeaWorld Orlando

Infinity Falls is the newest ride at SeaWorld Orlando and it’s already a hit with guests. This record-breaking attraction is the tallest river rapid drop ride in the world, with a 40-foot drop that’s guaranteed to leave you drenched!

Infinity Falls is all about water and is inspired by the fact that water takes up more than 70% of our planet. As you embark on your river adventure, you’ll get to take on the role of conservationist in this unique ride experience.

3. Jurassic Park River Adventure

Jurassic Park River Adventure at Universal Orlando

It doesn’t matter if you’re a huge Jurassic Park fan or you haven’t seen a single movie, because if you’re a serious thrill seeker, you’re going to absolutely love this water ride. If you think this is going to be a nice relaxing journey though, you’re very wrong. Your raft will pass by several dinosaurs before taking a wrong turn into the restricted section of Jurassic Park.

You’ll find yourself in total darkness before coming face to face with a huge T-Rex and battling a staggering 85-foot drop!

4. Ihu’s Breakaway Falls

Ihu's Breakaway Falls at Aquatica

Calling all thrill seekers! This amazing attraction is the steepest multi-drop water slide in Orlando, which means it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted. If you think you’re brave enough climb to the top of the tower and step inside one of the clear ‘breakaway boxes’. Prepare to take the plunge as you face the other riders, not knowing which one of you is going to drop first. When the floor suddenly drops from beneath you, you’ll race to the bottom at top speed. If the thought of that scares you, don't worry- there's also an option to slide down without facing the dreaded drop.

Where? Aquatica Orlando

5. Krakatau Aqua Coaster

Krakatau Aqua Coaster at Universal's Volcano Bay

At Universal’s Volcano Bay, every single attraction is a water ride, so it can be hard to choose a favourite. Although, the Krakatau Aqua Coaster has a place in our heart because it’s just so much fun. You’ll start by boarding a four-person canoe, before setting sail on an exhilarating adventure into the depths of the towering Krakatau volcano. This incredible attraction combines the thrills of a roller coaster with the fun of a water ride. Make sure you try it for yourself when you visit.

6. Journey to Atlantis

Journey to Atlantis at SeaWorld Orlando

If you love water rides, you must try Journey to Atlantis. This attraction is a unique flume ride/roller coaster hybrid with lots of surprises. You’ll start off on a calm water ride, venturing through dark passageways before the attraction turns into more of a coaster experience with an exhilarating 60-foot drop that ends with a huge splash! We don’t want to give too much away, so you’ll have to try it for yourself to find out why the surprises make this ride so great.

Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges

Make sure you pack a poncho because this ride is going to leave you soaked! This fun attraction is of course inspired by Popeye the sailor. Bluto has taken Olive Oyl and unfortunately for you, the only way to save her is by taking on an 18-foot octopus and LOTS of water. Look out for other park guests firing water cannons at you when you least expect it.

8. Kali River Rapids

Kali River Rapids at Disney's Animal Kingdom

This fun-filled ride is perfect for the whole family as you can all enjoy it together. Hold on tight though, as this white-water adventure offers a bumpy ride.
