Our first stop is Seltún, one of Iceland’s most vibrant geothermal hotspots. Admire the colorful, steaming ground, bubbling mud pools, and hissing springs that showcase the Earth’s raw geothermal energy.
Fagradalsfjall Volcano Hike
Next, visit Fagradalsfjall, one of Iceland’s youngest volcanoes. Hike through otherworldly terrain to a scenic viewpoint overlooking expansive lava fields created by recent eruptions. This moderately challenging hike covers 5.5 kilometers (3.4 miles) round trip, with an elevation gain of 300 meters (985 feet). Along the way, your expert guide will share insights into the region’s volcanic history and geology. You’ll have time to explore, take photos, and even touch rocks formed just three years ago.
Grindavík Fishing Village

- You will receive a voucher for this experience. Please read it thoroughly.
- You will be required to present a printed copy of your voucher at the time of tour departure..
- Pick-up from hotels and guesthouses starts 30 minutes before the tour departure time. You will be advised of specific times upon reconfirmation locally.
- Returning from your tour, you will be dropped off at the pick-up point you were collected from or at the closest possible point.
- Minimum age 12
- Max 1 youth 12-14 years per Adults
- This tour requires has a moderate difficulty level and guests should be in reasonable health. Please check with your doctor prior if you have any medical issues.
- Warm clothing, waterproof jack, and sturdy shoes are recommended. Thermals are suggested for colder days.
- Hiking crampons and poles are highly recommended.
- Please take water with you as this will not be provided on the tour.
