1. Fright Nights at THORPE PARK
THORPE PARK Fright Nights turns 25 in 2026, and it's celebrating with its most immersive scare maze yet. Fright Nights is one of the UK's most famous Halloween events, with live-action scare mazes, roaming scare actors and thrilling coasters in the dark at THORPE PARK.
The headline addition is Tenement, THORPE PARK's first fully immersive, pitch-black scare maze. You'll creep through an abandoned building with nothing but a single, failing handheld light shared between your group, as reflections, illusions and sensory scares close in... and something hunts you in the dark.
Tenement joins four terrifying returning mazes:
- Trailers - Take your seat at the SuperSpark Cinema for a screening of Blood Red Roses
- Stitches - Step back inside Howell's Toy Emporium, if you dare
- Survival Games - A labyrinth of shifting pathways where assassins lie in wait (rated 15)
- DeadBeat - An underground party where creatures lurk in the shadows
Between mazes, brave the Purgatory Town scare zone, keep an eye out for The Crows roaming the park and catch live shows including Creature Campus: Reunion Reckoning. New for 2026, the Rebel Ball at The Launch Pad brings music, dance and fire performances to the party.
Best of all, over 25 rides stay open late, so you can ride Hyperia, Stealth, Colossus and SAW - The Ride in the dead of night!

2. Scarefest at Alton Towers Resort
Alton Towers Scarefest 2026 transforms Britain's Greatest Escape into a spine-tingling Halloween adventure for every age, with four scare mazes, two outdoor scare zones and rides in the dark until 9pm. This year's headline is Final Exhibit, a brand-new maze set inside the forgotten archive of the mysterious Curator.
Final Exhibit begins as an exhibition of newly discovered Alton Towers artefacts, but the Curator's silent, hypnotised Archivists are always searching for new additions to the collection. Fail to escape, and you could become the next living exhibit! It joins returning favourites Edge of the Forest, COMPOUND and Altonville Mine Tours: Tiny's Revenge, all recommended for ages 12+.

Younger visitors have plenty of spooktacular fun of their own, with the CBeebies Land Monster Ball included with your ticket, plus the Trick O' Treat Town and Amigos in the Afterlife family walkthroughs (6+).

Our top tips for a spooktacular Halloween day out
- Book your tickets in advance. Pre-booking with AttractionTickets.com means your Halloween plans are sorted, so you can relax and enjoy the spooky build-up.
- Choose your level of fright. Use our age guide above to match every member of your group to the perfect experiences.
- Plan your costume. Fancy dress is half the fun, and face paint and costume make-up are welcome at the theme parks and Warwick Castle. Leave full-face masks (for ages 12+) and imitation weapons at home, as these aren't permitted.
- Ride twice. At THORPE PARK and Alton Towers, ride your favourite coaster once in daylight and again after dark. It feels like a completely different ride!
- Wrap up warm. October evenings can be chilly, so bring layers, a hat and a waterproof for when the sun goes down and the scares come out.
- Download the park app. The official apps are the best place for park maps, show times and live ride information on the day.
There's still time to get your Halloween thrills!
Halloween 2026 is shaping up to be one of the spookiest yet, with a pitch-black anniversary maze at THORPE PARK, a sinister new archive at Alton Towers and plenty of monster-sized family fun at Chessington, LEGOLAND® Windsor and Warwick Castle.
