It’s the most popular theme park in Spain…
Which is why we think it’s definitely worth a visit! Each year, more than 4-million visitors come to experience the incredible rides and attractions. There’s also a host of entertaining shows, plenty of shops and a man-made beach- perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. There’s 6 exciting, themed worlds to explore at PortAventura Park, but that’s not all. When you want to cool down, you can make a splash at PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park or visit the new exhilarating Ferrari Land, which are both part of PortAventura World.
You can get there easily from Barcelona
Did you know, that PortAventura isn’t far from Barcelona? If you’re travelling by car it will take you around 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there from the city centre. You can also get there easily by bus or train, so don’t worry if you haven’t got access to a car. We’ve put together a handy blog with lots of details on how to get to PortAventura from Barcelona, to help make your visit hassle free.
Booking tickets in advance will save you time and money
That’s right, booking tickets in advance is a great way to save yourself some money, and who wouldn’t want that? Buying your tickets before you go, will ensure you save money on the day, as the gate prices are often much higher. You’ll also save time waiting around in queues to get in, as you’ll be issued a gate-ready e-ticket, which means you can walk straight through the gates when you arrive.
Thrill-seekers will love it
PortAventura Park has plenty of exhilarating attractions that thrill-seekers will love. Furious Baco is the park’s fastest ride, so if you’re up for a challenge, this should be right at the top of your list. The supercharged coaster features a horizontal catapult that launches you from 0-135km/h in just 3 seconds! Get ready to race through tunnels and skim the water of the Mediterrània Lake as you speed along the 850m-long ride. Once you’ve conquered Furious Baco, put your bravery to the test on Dragon Khan, which has a total of 8 loops and more than 100km/h of speed, or Shambhala- the park’s highest ride with the longest drop!

At PortAventura, there really is something for everyone. While the big kids will love the thrilling coasters, there’s also plenty to keep the little ones entertained. SésamoAventura is an area of the park designed especially for children. Inspired by the world of Sesame Street, you’ll find rides, fun shows and even characters from the Sesame Street gang. Attractions like the Magic Fish where you can skim across the water on the back of a fish and El Salto de Blas, a tall tower attraction where you decide how high you go, are not to be missed.
There’s lots more in the park for the little ones too. Try the ‘Buffalo Rodeo’, ‘Canoes’ which takes you through the Polynesian jungle and the classic ‘Tea Cups’ ride.
