At Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, guests embrace the legendary cultures of Mexico, Colonial Spain and the American Southwest amidst Mayan architectural flourishes, colourful plazas and Spanish-style haciendas. Built around a shimmering 15-acre Lago Dorado or ‘Lake of Gold’, this superbly-located family resort offers you the chance to feel like an ancient explorer on your Disney holiday. Located near to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, this resort comprises of three village areas, the Cabanas on the banks of the lake, the Casitas set amongst palm-shaded courtyards or the rustic wilderness of the Ranchos.

    Behold the five-storey stepped Mayan pyramid towering over the elaborate pool area with waterslide and a playground that doubles as an archaeological dig site for young explorers. There are also three other quieter pools spread throughout the resort. Other great leisure facilities include a state-of-the-art health club, a video games arcade and boat and bike rentals.

Why we love it

The grounds are big and beautifully landscaped, meaning it never feels overcrowded. This is a great resort to unwind in the evenings with fantastic campfires and Disney Movies Under the Stars. Kids will love the Iguana arcade and the variety of restaurants is amongst the best to be found in any of the Disney Moderate Resort Hotels.
