To start, the area where you check in is a street corner? It tells you to arrive 30 minutes before boarding, and it closes 10 minutes before departure. So we arrived on time, waited in a queue to be told off a woman it was the wrong queue and her work mate would be alone soon. So we just stood in the middle of the street. We weren’t checked in till 9:12 when someone decided to arrive to do so. 12 minutes later then what is asked and stated on the ticket. We then we’re told off a tour guide, they don’t drop you at moulin rouge so you have to walk 2/3 minutes to it, they don’t tell you this pre booking it says transport to moulin rouge. Departure was meant to be 9:30 and we never left till about 9:45. Just a lot of standing about in roasting heat due to unorganised tour guides, busses never showed up on time etc. The tour guide asked me and my husband about 4 times where we were staying and we told him each time and he said “we don’t drop off at hotels, so we will drop you back here at the meeting point”, I wasn’t overjoyed with this as it would be 2am in the morning roughly and it was about a 20 minute walk for us but at-least we knew the way to our hotel, it was a simple walk. He then tells us when the show finishes, the bus can only wait for 15 minutes as it’s the “rules” so if you’re not there the bus would leave without you. Which put us in a panic as the pick up location wasn’t well explained and we were worried with crowds etc we would miss it and be stuck there. The “guided tour” is not a tour at all, the tour guide told us to download an app and listen to it via our phones?? Driving through Paris on an open top bus - how are we supposed to hear this? It’s very misleading from what it states on the website to what is delivered. All guests on the bus were annoyed at this. It’s not what you pay for. Upon arrival you are just told to go to moulin rouge there is NO organisation. So the bus was all really split up and just made our own way there and into the venue. The waiting times inside were ridiculous, show was supposed to start at 11pm and we weren’t even inside the building at that time. Show didn’t start till 11:40 (I appreciate this wouldn’t be the tour companies fault) Our seats were right up the back of the venue (also not stated on ticket). Clearly they are the cheaper seats but I feel when you are paying £150 for a ticket they should have been a bit better. When the show ended, we rushed back to the bus as I said before, scared of being left behind. We walked back along the street to where we were dropped off and the tour guide was standing there, and yet again no bus! We had to wait a further 5 minutes and then the bus arrived. As I stated at the start we were told the bus would wait 15 minutes to allow travellers to get out and board. The bus waited 0 minutes. It parked whoever was standing there already got on and that was it. On way there there was about 20 people on the bus on way back there was about 8/9 so it’s obvious people had been left behind. He did say 15 minutes and made it clear and they never waited! We were just lucky we ran to make it. The busses should be there and on time for guests arrival/ departure. The bit that for me the most, we were asked yet again where we were staying, told the guide and he said I’ll drop you somewhere even closer. Woman were told to get off and take a taxi as they don’t drive to their area. Terrible. We were them dropped off with a few other guests in the middle of a street we didn’t know and no clue how to get back. After putting it on our phone it was a 30 minute walk to our hotel!! After telling us 1. It was closer and 2. We would be dropped off at the pick up spot. I think this is beyond shocking, leaving 2 people in a strange part of Paris at 2:00 in the morning after we paid for transport. We then had to pay for a taxi home which I was not happy about. It’s quite obvious the tour guide at the end was not interested what happened to you and clearly just wanted to get the job finished. This is incredibly dangerous, disheartening and disappointing. I cannot recommend this tour or company to any family and friends due to this. What you state on website and pay for in my opinion is NOT what you receive.
