Dine on delicious, authentic New Orleans cuisine as you fuel up for more fun at Disneyland Park.

If you’re a fan of Princess and the Frog or are just in the mood for a bit of comfort food, you won’t want to miss the brand-new restaurant that is now open at Disneyland Resort in California! Inspired by the restaurant Tiana opens at the end of the Disney Animation film, Tiana’s Palace is bringing the story to life in New Orleans Square in Disneyland Park.

What was once the French Market Restaurant has now been transformed by a renovated interior and an entirely reimagined menu. Throughout this quick-service dining location, you’ll find plenty of references to Tiana and her family and friends, from lily-shaped light fixtures and frog-shaped porcelain to her father’s favourite gumbo spoon and her mother’s hat and coat. The walls are decorated with hand-written letters, childhood ‘photos’, and a beautiful mural of the bayou.

The theming continues outside too, with green and yellow awnings representing the colours of Mardi Gras, and two smokestacks on the roof to create the iconic silhouette seen in the movie.

But we know what you’re really interested in is the food!

The new menu is full of Louisiana classics that will transport you straight to New Orleans, including:

  • House Gumbo
  • 7 Greens Gumbo (plant-based)
  • Cajun Spice Half Chicken
  • Gulf Shrimp and Grits

And for a little something extra on the side you can choose from buttermilk cornbread, baked macaroni and cheese, red beans and rice, coleslaw and cheesy grits.

For dessert, there couldn’t be anything other than beignets on the menu! These house-filled beignets are filled with lemon icebox pie filling and topped with lemon glaze, washed down perfectly with a Joffrey’s Coffee Chicory Cold Brew complete with Ray Firefly Glow Cube.

And there’ll be even more Princess and the Frog coming to Disneyland Park when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens in 2024! We’re so excited to see the final transformation, but now we’ll be eating as much gumbo and beignets as we can while we wait!
