Dubai Parks and Resorts believe that unforgettable experiences should be for everyone.
That’s why they’re especially proud to share the many ways they have made their attractions more inclusive, welcoming, and accessible, from autism-friendly certifications to sensory signage, hidden disability support, and even art installations.

Here’s a look at how they’ve made their attractions enjoyable for all:

Autism-Friendly Fun for All

Almost all of their attractions are officially Autism Certified by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).

This means:

  • Annual Autism Awareness Training for their teams.
  • Sensory signage across attractions, helping guests make informed choices (for example, a ride might score 10/10 for sound but 2/10 for touch).
  • Plaques proudly displayed at each certified asset to reassure families that support is in place.

It’s all about creating a safe and supportive environment where guests with autism can enjoy the fun and excitement at the attractions with confidence.

Hidden Disabilities Welcome

They’ve begun rolling out the Sunflower Certification across all attractions, and within the next month, every one of their parks will be part of this important initiative. The Sunflower symbol is globally recognised, discreetly indicating that someone has a hidden disability, so our teams can provide the support they need.

Supporting the Deaf Community

Through a partnership with AMSAAN, Dubai Parks and Resorts have introduced QR codes at key attractions. Guests can simply scan and access sign language videos that explain the experience, making the parks much more welcoming for the deaf community.

Wheelchair-Friendly Adventures

Accessibility is built into their spaces:

  • Wheelchair access is available across all parks.
  • The Green Planet has introduced braille on major signage, a feature that’s been warmly welcomed by our blind visitors.

Complimentary Entry & Community Partnerships

Dubai Parks & Resorts offer complimentary entry to individuals with disabilities at their attractions (excluding group bookings). Beyond that, they regularly partner with schools and organisations to host free visits, with heartwarming moments captured in photos that showcase pure joy and inclusivity.

Big Moments Worth Celebrating

  • Inclusion Week: Dubai Parks & Resorts hosted the UAE’s very first Inclusion Week, with each of their assets delivering unique initiatives for the disability community. The week ended with a walk for inclusion at Dubai Parks and Resorts, followed by an awards ceremony celebrating inspiring organisations.
  • Dubai Design Week: In collaboration with Canadian University Dubai, Dubai Parks and Resorts unveiled an art installation celebrating people of determination. The installation received high praise, and even a visit from Sheikha Latifa, who applauded the initiative.
  • Community Support: From sign language training for their staff to opening a complimentary kiosk at Global Village where people with disabilities can sell their goods, inclusivity is woven into everything they do.
