Disney’s Free Dine Offer: Why You Need it!
Ends 5th November 2019
Disney’s Free Dine offer ends on the 5th November - don’t miss out on potentially thousands of pounds worth of savings.

The Free Disney Dining and Drinks offer basically does exactly what it says on the tin – eat for free during your Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay at a choice of more than 100 restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Of course, it’s not quite as simple as that and there are some restrictions, but we definitely recommend booking while this offer is on to get the best value for your Walt Disney World in Florida holiday.

If you book a 5 night stay or more with us before the 5th November for travel in 2020 you will automatically benefit from the Free Disney Dining and Drinks offer (some exclusions apply*) which entitles you to different levels of Disney Dining Plans based on your hotel selection. Here’s what you’ll get depending on your hotel selection…

Disney Value Hotels

Dining at Disney's Art of Animation Hotel

Book a Disney Value Resort Hotel and benefit from a free ‘breakfast’ every day in your hotel or in the Parks for every member of your group. This breakfast credit is actually just a quick service meal credit which will be loaded on to your MagicBand each day for you to use as you see fit on one quick service meal throughout the day. So that means if you’d prefer to grab a light breakfast in the morning you can use your ‘breakfast credit’ for lunch or even dinner to maximise the value of your credit. Some of these quick service meals are HUGE, so choose wisely and you can get a lot of value out of this option. Some people may even wish to share a Quick Service meal and save a credit…that’s how big they are!

Another option is to choose 3 snacks instead of one main quick service meal. Again, these are American-sized snacks so will easily tide you over as a main meal! Any unused credits roll on to the next day, so don’t worry if you decide you want to visit a waiter service restaurant on one day, you can use your quick service credits the following day.

TOTAL SAVING: £560 for a family of 4 over a 14-night stay.

Disney Moderate Hotels

Dining at Disney's Carribean Beach Resort

With a moderate hotel booking, you’ll receive 2 quick-service meals, 2 snacks, a refillable drink and even a choice of speciality drinks per day. Again, the quick service credit and snacks can be used at whatever time of day you choose in your hotel, in the Parks and even in Disney Springs.

The refillable drinks cup in particular can save you lots of money and saves you lugging a huge bottle of water around the parks with you. Drinks fountains can be found throughout the park where you can fill up on fresh water or just head to a quick service restaurant to refill your mug with fizzy drinks, iced tea etc if you fancy something sweeter.

Snacks choices include everything from speciality drinks at Starbucks to popcorn, from cakes to fresh fruit and much much more. Don’t forget to pick up a Mickey ice cream or a Dole Whip Float if you’re melting in the Floridian sun as both of these are included in the snack credits.

TOTAL SAVING: £1,624 for a family of 4 over a £14-night stay.

Disney Deluxe Hotels

Dining at Jiko

Book a Disney Deluxe Resort or villa before the 6th November for travel next year and get the Disney Dining Plan included absolutely free. The Disney Dining plan is an upgrade of the Disney Quick Service Plan you’ll receive at a moderate hotel and includes 1 waiter service meal, 1 quick service meal, 2 snacks, a refillable mug and the choice of speciality drinks (including alcohol).

Waiter service meals are a real luxurious experience within the Walt Disney World Resort. Forget what you know about theme park food and sit down to a luxurious dining experience with an abundance of choice and amazing service from the Disney Cast Members. Waiter service meals can even include things like Chef Mickey, a character dining experience which can add up for a family of 4. Remember, it’s so important to book your dining reservation ahead of travel so you can really maximise your choices. You can book dining reservations up to 180 days before travel when staying at a Disney Resort Hotel – sounds a bit crazy but we recommend you do it!

TOTAL SAVING: £2,184 for a family of 4 over a 14-night stay.

Our Top Dining Picks

Looking to really maximise your credits? Here are our suggestions for some of the best for your ‘buck’ (even though they’re free!) on the dining plans:

Quick Service: D-Luxe Burger (Disney Springs), Flame Tree Barbecue (Animal Kingdom)

Waiter Service: Chef Mickey’s, Cape May Café, ‘Ohana, Cinderella’s Happily Every After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare, and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Signature Dining (you can exchange 2 Waiter Service Credit for a Signature Dining credit): Cinderella’s Royal Table

Important things to remember for making the most out of your Disney Dining Plan…

  • Snack credits have a perceived value of $5, quick service credits have a perceived value of $15 and waiter service meals have a perceived value of $35. Think about this when making your choices – there’s no point buying a $2.50 water with your back credit when you can get a dole whip! You can always get water from the water fountains for free.
  • There is SO MUCH choice in restaurants that you’ll easily find something to suit everyone. There are more than 100 restaurants within Walt Disney World, so make sure you do your research before you travel.
  • Don’t forget to make your table reservations as soon as you’ve decided. You can make your bookings though the My Disney Experience app once you’ve linked your tickets and you’re less than 180 days out, which is why it’s so important to pre-book at least 3 months before.
  • Don’t worry if you don’t get your first choice, keep checking back and something might come up!

Book your Walt Disney World Resort hotel by the 5th November to qualify for the Free Disney Dining and Drinks Offer.
