8 Drinks and Snacks You Have to Try at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Make some room for all these delicious treats!
Whether you've had a trip to Universal's Orlando Resort booked for a while or you're visiting the brand new Wizarding World at Universal Studios Hollywood, you can't miss these tasty drinks and snacks on your trip!

Food is a huge part of the experience at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. Find out what tasty snacks you can't miss on your visit...

1. Chocolate Frog

Chocolate frogs seem to be one of the major staples of Harry and Ron’s diet in the first few Harry Potter books, so it’s not surprising that they’re hugely popular with visitors to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter too. We can’t promise they’ll hop out of their packaging like they do in the books and films but we can guarantee you’ll love the delicious chocolatey taste of these giant frogs. And they really are giant! Grab one to share or take them home for your loved ones for a great unique souvenir.

2. Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream

On a hot day, there’s no better treat than a creamy scoop of Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream. It seems like everyone agrees, as there’s often a line out of the door at this popular ice cream shop straight out of the book’s Diagon Alley. Play it safe with flavours like salted caramel blondie and peanut butter-strawberry or push the boat out with a scoop of chili-chocolate which has a real kick! You can choose between soft serve flavours, 10 different hand-scooped ice-cream flavours and 10 different types of frozen yoghurt so there’s plenty of choice for the whole family.

3. Fishy Green Ale

Despite the name, Fishy Green Ale is one of our favourite things to try at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It’s a very weird mixture which is cloudy green in colour with blueberry-flavoured tapioca bubbles settled at the bottom and is bound to turn some heads as you drink it. Sip your cinnamon and mint infused non-alcoholic drink through the special wide black straw that allows you drink up the 'bubbles'!) as you take in the atmosphere at the Leaky Cauldron.

4. Butterbeer

Frozen Butterbeer Wizard World of Harry Potter

Butterbeer is a drink which divides visitors – some think it’s the ultimate Wizarding World experience and some find it too sweet for their taste (not us though!). The one thing that’s for sure though is, you can’t leave the park without giving one a try! Cool off on a hot Floridian day with the frozen version of this classic drink in a signature souvenir mug which will get you free refills all day around the parks. If you don’t fancy the drinks, you could also check out the Butterbeer flavoured ice cream at Florean Fortescues or the Butterbeer Potted Cream at the Leaky Cauldron which blend the signature butterscotch and cream soda flavours into a tasty dessert. Yum!

5. Ploughman’s Board

If you fancy a snack at the Leaky Cauldron and there’s a few of you, try the delicious (and beautifully presented!) Ploughmans board. For $20, it’s a great option for a light snack for 2-3 people and will give you the taste of home you might have missed while you’re out in the States! Boards include homemade scotch eggs, a range of English cheeses, salad and bread, all accompanied by Branston pickle and lovingly put together after plenty of research on the best UK pub food by Universal’s culinary team!

6. Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans

Despite themselves, every Harry Potter fan has secretly wanted to know what one of the rotten Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans tastes like. Come on, admit it! Bogey flavour, earwax flavour and even vomit flavour are some of the terrible concoctions that Bertie and his team have put together for your delight and horror but, don’t worry, there are some ‘normal’ flavours in there too! Give them a try for yourself or take them home for a tasty ‘treat’ for your friends and frenemies.

7. Gillywater Potions

GillyWater

Theming runs deep at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and even extends to its bottled water, ‘Gillywater’! Gillywater is sold all over the park but it’s only at the Gillywater Potion stand where your water gets a little ‘magical’ makeover! Pick your bottle of water and a special ‘potion’ of Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshment to go inside it with the following magical qualities: Fire Protection Potion (watermelon, peach and strawberry), Babbling Beverage (fruit cocktail), Draught of Peace (blueberry, blackberry, raspberry and cherry) and Elixir to Induce Euporia (pineapple with green apple and mint). Once your Elixir has been poured into your drink, it turns the water into a brightly coloured, tasty little potion that everyone will love.

8. Cornish Pasties

Another great snack if you’re looking for something to accompany a beer at the Three Broomsticks are the mini Cornish pasties. Again, it’s a great way to treat yourself to some familiar flavours if you’re missing home and is also one of the lighter choices on the menu. The pasties are stuffed full of tasty meat, veggies and delicious gravy and make the perfect accompaniment to the pubs great range of draft beers.
