Start screaming now. Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, the World’s Premier Halloween Event, now in its 30th terrifying year, is closer than you think.

From cinematic greats and crazed current cult favorites to the park’s original abominations—every year, the legend grows and the experience reaches beyond your wildest nightmares. As the sun sets on days filled with thrills in all of Universal’s theme parks, the night awakens with a frightening chill at Universal Studios Florida.

Surrounded in shadow by screams and mad laughter, you’re never quite sure if your spine is tingling with dread or sheer excitement. Step by step, you enter into terrifying haunted houses, inspired by the biggest names in horror. Face nightmarish creatures on streets twisted into sinister scare zones. Lose yourself in outrageous live entertainment filled with diabolical surprises. Then escape to some of Universal Studios’ most exhilarating attractions where heart pounding takes on a different meaning—until the horror calls you back.

Halloween Horror Nights is a separately ticketed event. Event occurs rain or shine. No rain checks, returns or refunds. Prices, dates, times, attractions and entertainment subject to availability and may change without notice. Free self-parking after 6 pm and Universal Cinemark Matinee Free Parking Program are not valid for Halloween Horror Nights event nights. Other restrictions may apply.

When is Halloween Horror nights?

Halloween Horror Nights usually begins in September and runs through early November.

What time does Halloween Horror night start in Orlando?

The Universal Studios park closes around 5pm and then the Halloween Horror nights begins around 6.30pm on select nights. If you are already in the park on the day you have your Halloween Horror Nights ticket you will be one of the first to enter the scare zones so we recommend getting their early. 

How many mazes are there?

Usually there are between 6-9 mazes/houses each year each with it's own theme. There are also scare areas around the park.

What rides are open on Halloween Horror nights?

Although the main event for the evening are the scare houses, most of the rides will remain open for the evening. A great one to do in the dark though is the fantastic Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit!

What is included in my Halloween Horror Night ticket?

Your Halloween Horror Nights ticket gives you admission to one of the scariest events of the holiday season. There are plenty of themed haunted houses or mazes to visit as well as night-time attractions to enjoy. Aside from this, scare actors will be roaming around the park to give you a 'warm' welcome. It's a very unique experience that you won't forget quickly!

How many days is the Frequent Fear Pass valid for?

The Frequent Fear Pass allows you access every night the event is running during your stay. This gives you full flexibility to go as many times as you wish. This ticket must be exchanged before use at the front gate ticket window.

Do Universal buses run through the night?

The Universal buses run throughout the night until CityWalk closes. The last bus is usually around 2am.

Are the Halloween Horror nights scary for children?

This event is scary and is only recommended for children 13 years and above. Children under 13 years can attend, although this is at the parent's discretion.

When are tickets released for Halloween Horror nights?

Tickets are usually released on sale around April. This is a separate ticketed event so not included in the general admission tickets.

Can the actors touch you?

Scare actors will play with your fears and come really close, but they will not touch you. This doesn't mean they can't scare you though! 

Are there areas that aren't scary?

There are 'safe zones' around the park if you need to take a break from the scares.

Do I have to leave if I'm already in the park that day?

If you are already in the park when they close and have a valid ticket for Halloween Horror Nights, members of staff will guide you to a holding area so you don't need to leave the park and re-enter.

What happens if it rains?

In the very unlikely event of rain in the evening, the event occurs rain or shine. No rain checks, returns or refunds.

Are the restaurants open during Halloween Horror Nights?

There are plenty of places to eat around the park, although the best themed option is dinner at Monsters Cafe which can be booked directly.

Can I meet any of the characters at Halloween Horror Nights?

Halloween Horror Nights actors will be roaming freely around the park all evening, but if you wish to meet characters you can book the Halloween Horror Nights Scareactor Dining Experience at the Monsters Cafe.

Can I fast pass at Halloween Horror Nights?

If you only have a limited time and want to get round all the houses, you can purchase express passes for the Halloween Horror Nights. This can be done directly in the park although there is limited availability each night.

Do I have to book a date for Halloween Horror Nights?

You can go on any date included in your ticket without having to reserve ahead, although Friday and Saturday nights plus 31st October are extremely popular evenings so we recommend going on a quieter day. The park can refuse entry if they reach capacity for the evening.

Are Halloween Horror Night tickets refundable?

Your Halloween Horror Nights ticket is non-refundable, non-changeable and must be used by the same person on each visit.

Do I need a general admission ticket if I only want to go to the Halloween nights at Universal?

No, you can just purchase a ticket for the evening event if you do not want to go in the park at any other time.
