    Overview

    For those after a truly relaxing and rejuvenating retreat into the natural world, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground offers everything you could possibly want. Ideal for larger families, recreation includes swimming pools and a white-sand beach, fitness and horse riding trails, boat and bicycle rentals, fishing, hay rides, camp fires and sing-alongs under the stars. The six-person woodland cabins offer a quaint rustic holiday escape and are reminiscent of the log homes from pioneer days past, but with that special Disney touch. The interiors, sprinkled with richly-coloured wilderness accents, offer a fully-equipped kitchen, full bathroom, air conditioning, daily housekeeping, TV, VCR, dining room seating for six, plus an outdoor picnic table and grill. With vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, staying in a Wilderness Cabin is like having a little lodge just for your family.

     

    • Magic Touches

      Fishing, swimming, horseback riding, hay rides, boating and cycling are just some of the exciting activities on offer at Disney's Fort Wilderness Cabins & Campground. There is also a petting farm, which younger members of the family will particularly enjoy. At night, gather round the campfire for a rousing sing-along with Chip and Dale, followed by a classic Disney film under the stars.

      The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are located in the Magic Kingdom Resort area. Magic Kingdom Park is the closest Walt Disney World Theme Park to the resort and guests can use either the boat or Disney's Complimentary Transportation System to get them to the fun and charm of Disney's Magic Kingdom Park and Epcot.

    Now through mid-October, soil erosion prevention work will be taking place along the sidewalk on Big Pine Trail. At times, alternate paths of travel may be in place for Guests due to roadway detours. No resort amenities will be impacted by this work, but please be aware that you may see or hear construction activity in the area during business hours.

    • We went there the Sunday before we was going home on the Monday and unfortunately it was raining most of the day so we was running in between different shops and attractions but during the late afternoon it did stop and we went on a safari ride that was good children loved to see the animals in its natural habitat. We had a few pictures taken on the way out and they look good also well done Disney.

    • My daughter loved it. She asked if she could go there on the 14th birthday and that’s what we did. We are in France and had a super meal. Food was good and the staff were friendly. Next time we try a different country maybe Italy or even England, I know that’s mad because we pay more fish and chips there than what we would at home but that’s holiday time for you

    • We’ve been there a few times now my children loved the Disney characters pictures and autographs. They have now changed their format where they wander through the park and I have a designated area where they can meet a few of them at the time so that was good why you’re not trapped in all around the park looking for individuals.

    • We have a great time there it’s a full day for us. We get there somewhere around 2 o’clock and stay till finishing time this year. We’ve done the not so scary Mickey‘sHalloween party and that was fun children loved it getting a little bag and filling out with sweets throughout the park. Characters are out late however it does cost more money. The park shuts at six gets everyone out that they can and reopens for this event, but I wasn’t happy about paying $35 for the parking as for a short period of time to park that should really be with the price after all we paid over £600 for 5 hours
