Place a bet at a casino:
Sin City is famous for its extravagant casinos and gambling culture, with the casinos cleverly placed near the entrance of every hotel inviting you in. You don’t have to spend lots of money, but you might want to place a bet and try your luck. The dazzling Las Vegas casinos are definitely worth a visit even if you’re not gambling, just to admire the sheer size and outlandish décor. If your luck comes in you might even be heading home with a fortune!
Top tip: Most casinos offer free drinks to those who are gambling. Offer the staff a small tip (as little as $1) and you’ll find the cheapest drinks on the strip!
Admire the Grand Canyon:
A visit to Las Vegas isn’t complete until you’ve seen the breath-taking Grand Canyon, and what better way to do it than soaring overhead in an exhilarating helicopter ride? Explore the hotels:
The hotels in Las Vegas are out of this world! Unlike any hotel you’ve ever seen before, you could visit the same resort over and over again and still find something new each time. It might seem a bit strange to add visiting hotels that you’re not even staying in to your itinerary, but in Vegas it really is a must-do. You won’t believe the surprises waiting inside, from gondola rides down the Grand Canal, to a secret garden that’s home to beautiful dolphins and white tigers! As you walk along the strip you’ll feel as though you’re travelling across the world with hotels inspired by Paris, New York, Luxor and Venice. Have lunch in the Eiffel Tower, gaze up at the enormous pyramids or ride a roller-coaster through Manhattan!
Visit the famous Las Vegas sign:
Have your photo taken beneath the iconic Las Vegas sign; a sign that welcomes you to a city that really is fabulous! Located at the south end of the strip, it’s best to go early if you want to take a picture without crowds of people in the background. Acting as one of the most photographed spots in Vegas, this is the ultimate place to get the perfect selfie! As night falls the sign illuminates ready to greet guests as they arrive for a holiday that’s sure to be unforgettable.
See a show:
Las Vegas is known for its elaborate stage shows and incredible line-up of superstar performers! Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion are just a few of the amazing artists who hold a Las Vegas residency, hosting performances on most nights of the week. Vegas is definitely the place to be for fantastic music from some of the most famous artists in the world.
There are also a range of stunning theatre shows you simply have to see! There are several fantastic Cirque du Soleil shows to choose from, including the water spectacular "O" and one of our favourites- "LOVE". This mesmerising show sees overe 60 artists perform incredible stunts as The Beatles greatest hits play. With so much to see in Las Vegas it can be hard to fit everything in, but we would definitely recommend putting a captivating Vegas show at the top of your ‘to do’ list.

Watch the dancing Bellagio fountains:
The fountains at The Bellagio are recognised all over the world, and if you’re visiting Las Vegas, they’re something you have to see. Depending on the time of day, shows occur every 15-30 minutes, so there’s never too long to wait. Watch the fantastic display shoot water up to 460-feet into the air, with over 1,214 spritzers creating the magic. Admiring the fountain show won’t cost you a penny, making it a great attraction to return to throughout the day. Listen out for different music at each show as the voice of Elvis echoes ‘Viva Las Vegas’, and see the beautiful illuminated display when night falls.
Try the white-knuckle rides:
Are you up for the challenge? There are a whole range of great rides in Las Vegas that would make the ultimate thrill seeker think twice. If you’re feeling brave, head to the top of the Stratosphere hotel to test the most exhilarating rides the city has to offer. ‘Big Shot’ resides right at the top and is recognised as the world’s highest amusement ride (from ground level to the top of the ride). Shoot 160-feet into the air at 45mph, where you’ll find yourself over 1000-feet above the strip! Dangle over the edge of the building on ‘X-Scream’ for a terrifying rush of adrenaline. Or, for a taste of Manhattan try the ‘Big Apple’ rollercoaster at the New York- New York hotel that features twists, turns and heart racing dives.
Hit the slopes:
Did you know that you can go skiing down snowy slopes just 45-minutes outside of the scorching desert? In Las Vegas anything is possible, and if you venture just outside of the city you’ll find Lee Canyon, a ski-resort hidden in the mountains. Spend the day having fun on the slopes and taking in the gorgeous surrounding scenery on a chairlift ride, before returning to the glamorous strip in the evening. There’s also a 16-hole mountain golf course that starts at a staggering 9,300-feet! Indulge in a bit of après-ski with an ice cold drink at the bar or grab a tasty burger for lunch.
Take to the skies in a Hot Air Balloon:
A hot air balloon flight is truly a one-of-a-kind experience that can transform your holiday into something extraordinary. As the sun rises, you’ll get to see the enormous balloon inflated in front of your eyes until it stands at 10-storeys tall, as the excitement builds for your journey. Take in unrivalled views of the Las Vegas strip, the vast expanse of desert and the beautiful Red Rock Mountains. Glide above the city for the best views imaginable, and enjoy a glass of champagne once you’re back on the ground.

Discover Fremont Street:
Fremont Street is one of the oldest parts of Las Vegas, and home to the original style casinos like the Golden Nugget and 4-Queens. Get the feeling of going back in time and visiting Vegas when it was just starting out. Look up and you’ll see the brilliant ‘Viva Vision’ light and sound show on an LED canopy that features 12.5 million glittering lights and runs along the entire length of the promenade. Try out the eccentric ‘Heart Attack Grill’ for dinner with a difference. This eatery specialises in serving huge portions of delicious food, with a dress code of bibs and hospital gowns! Looking for adventure? Fly up to 114-feet above the promenade on the SlotZilla Zip Line at 40mph!
