The tallest, fastest and longest ride in all of Orlando, will be arriving at SeaWorld in just 30 days’ time (10th June)! The adrenaline inducing Mako ride is sure to excite the most daring thrill-seekers, with high speeds of up to 73mph, and staggering heights of up to 200-feet! It has just been announced that the ride will act as the centrepiece for the brand new ‘Shark Wreck Reef’; a shark themed realm dedicated to offering shark education and incredible thrills!
The exciting new area will span over 2-acres, and will give guests the ultimate immersive experience, with the aim of making them feel as though they are actually underwater, as part of a group of sharks that have taken over the shipwrecked reef! The creative shark theming throughout the area will add to the realistic underwater atmosphere.
As well as Mako, visitors will be able to explore the unforgettable Shark Encounter area, Sharks Underwater Grill and a variety of souvenir shops. There will also be the opportunity to learn about the current issues threatening several species of shark with extinction. The educational sessions will enlighten guests on the impact that humans are having on these beautiful creatures, and why the animals are so important to the environment.
The standout attraction will of course be Mako; the ride we’ve all been waiting for! Mirror the moves of a real Mako shark racing through the ocean, as you speed along the track. The spectacular hypercoaster promises ‘relentless air time’ and optimum upper body movement to enhance your experience, and create an authentic shark like motion.
Feel your adrenaline rise as you wait in line and hear the booming score that’s been specially created for the ride. At night, it will be illuminated with flickering lights on the trains and track to simulate fish being scattered by the fatal Mako shark out on the hunt! An attraction that will awaken your senses and enhance your experience; prepare for a coaster like no other.
