Looking to swap standard sightseeing for a genuine London thrill? Up at The O2 delivers a unique injection of adventure right in the heart of the capital.

How Do You Climb the O2 London?

If you fancy doing something completely different from the usual tourist routine, Up at the O2 is the perfect experience for adventure-seekers.

Known as "urban mountaineering," this thrilling activity lets you scale the heights of the world’s busiest music arena entirely by foot. No lifts, no escalators—just pure adrenaline and a spectacular payoff.

You will undertake an exhilarating 380-metre-long guided walk, suspended 52 metres above the ground. Your journey begins at the base of the tent, where you will tackle a steep 28-degree incline on the way up, and an even steeper 30-degree descent on your return.

The unique fabric walkway is designed to feel a bit bouncy underfoot, giving you a slight sensation of weightlessness. Don't worry, though—you’ll be securely clipped into a safety harness with a central handrail for support, and a steady balustrade to lean on once you reach the summit's observation deck.

When can I Climb the O2 London?

  • The Sunset Climb: Head up just as the sun begins to dip. This is the ultimate picturesque experience, letting you watch the iconic London skyline transform against a romantic backdrop of auburn and golden skies.

  • The Twilight Climb: Make your ascent after dark to see the capital completely illuminated. This climb features a vibrant, multi-coloured walkway lighting experience, letting you get closer to the stars while marvelling at the twinkling city lights below.
