5 Reasons to Love Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Including 3 new features!
We love this stunning back-to-nature hotel experience so here are 5 reasons we think you will too...

The jaw-dropping lobby

Lobby at Wilderness Lodge

Inside the hotel’s incredible lobby you’ll find two 55-foot-tall totem poles, an 82-foot-tall stone fireplace, incredible chandeliers and even a bubbling creek! The hotel is 7-storeys-high so you’ll struggle to take it all in in one go, but it’s a great hint at what’s to come when you get into the beautifully-themed Native American lodge-style rooms.

Proximity to Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom is just a short boat ride away from the Lodge, which is an extra unique reason to stay at this hotel. The scenic boat ride takes just 20 minutes and is possibly the most stylish way to arrive at a theme park! Of course if you don’t have your sea legs, you can hop on the free Disney bus service to any of the Disney Parks or to the shopping and entertainment district of Disney Springs – it’s only a 10 minute drive to Magic Kingdom.

The new Copper Creek Villas and Cabins

26 beautifully constructed brand-new 1, 2 and 3 bed villas have just opened at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and they are fabulous! The villas are said to be inspired by the Pacific Northwest and Walt’s love of old railroads and have a rustic, cosy feel to them while still being very luxurious.

It’s the Cascade Cabins which really blow us away though – the incredible 2-bed, 2-bath cabins sleep up to 8 guests and boast wrap around patios with stunning views and a built-in spa enclosed in the patio! If you’re looking for a luxurious Walt Disney World holiday, look no further.

The new Boulder Ridge Cove Pool

Boukder Ridge Pool

In keeping with the new Copper Creek theming of the villas, a brand new ‘abandoned rock quarry’ pool has also just opened at the Lodge, complete with old mining equipment ‘left behind’ to give it that really authentic feel! The new swimming hole is located in the Copper Creek area of the resort and features old props from the set of Catastrophe Canyon, which some keen-eyed guests might recognise from the Studio Backlot Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The new Geyser Point Bar and Grill

Geyser Point Grill

A new open-air restaurant offering meals which are quick and light (although not light on taste!) has just opened at the Lodge. The Grill has a laid-back feel to it, mainly due to its prime location next to the pool, but there are heartier meals on offer if you’re looking for something to fill you up. Take the bison burger with Tillamock cheddar or the smoked turkey sandwich for example – yum!
