The ride will boast Florida’s steepest beyond vertical drop with a maximum height of 93 feet at a 100 degree angle and a top speed of 52 miles per hour. Riders will be treated to four airtime-filled launches hurling you both forwards and backwards plus a series of gripping twists and turns along the 1,900 feet track.
Ice Breaker will be located just across from the Wild Arctic attraction with both rides sharing a wintry, arctic theme that is reflective of Ice Breaker’s conservation partner, Alaska SeaLife Centre. The centre is committed to marine education, research and wildlife response and the partnership between SeaWorld Orlando and the Alaska SeaLife Centre aims to educate guests about the Arctic and its inhabitants.
SeaWorld is renowned for having some of the most thrilling rides and roller coasters in Florida and Ice Breaker is set to be a perfect addition to these must-do experiences:
Mako is Orlando’s tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster and takes inspiration from the real-life Mako shark which is famed as one of the fastest in the ocean. Reaching a top speed of 73 miles per hour this ride simulates the feeling of darting about the ocean and with several moments of big airtime it is an exhilarating experience.
Kraken is Orlando’s only floorless coaster and takes riders up to 150 feet off the ground. The ride is themed around a mythical sea monster that has been unleashed from the depths of the ocean and is sure to send a shiver down your spine.
Manta is a steel, flying roller coaster that tilts riders forward to mimic the sensation of gliding through the ocean like an elegant Manta Ray. It reaches a top speed of 56 miles per hour and features four inversions. With a slogan of “Dive deep, fly high”, Manta truly has you feeling like you’re soaring through the high seas.
So in anticipation of the launch of Ice Breaker the important message to take away is that if you’re a thrill seeker looking to experience some of the best attractions Orlando has to offer, then a trip to SeaWorld Orlando should be at the very top of your itinerary.
