  • Do I need to book tickets in advance? Tower of London

    Yes, we strongly recommend booking your Tower of London tickets in advance to secure your preferred date and avoid queues. The attraction is extremely popular, especially during weekends and school holidays.

  • Can I take pictures in the Tower of London?

    You are welcome to take non-commercial photographs (without the use of flash) within most of the palace with the exception of the Jewel House, the Martin Tower, the Chapel of St. John (in the White Tower), inside the Chapel Royal of St. Peter ad Vincula and some temporary exhibitions. Some additional items or imagery may be prohibited from being photographed and this will be clearly signposted. Ask a member of staff if you are unsure. The use of tripods and selfie-sticks are prohibited.

    You can spend as much time as you like within the Tower of London during opening hours on the date of your booking. We recommend allowing at least three hours, depending on queues, to make the most of your visit.

    Toilets are available at the following locations:


    • Brick Tower, behind the Jewel House (male, female, accessible toilets, and baby changing facilities)
    • Salt Tower (male toilets)
    • Cradle Tower (female and accessible toilets) 

    All toilets have disabled access and baby changing facilities. 

    Changing Places toilet:  Ground floor lobby of New Armouries building, next to the café. Access to the toilet is via radar key. (A key can be obtained from café staff, to be returned after use.)

Restrictions

  • Where can I leave my bag whilst visiting the Tower? Tower of London

    Visitors must always keep their belongings with them. No left luggage or bag storage facilities are available. Suitcases, large bags, and any rolling luggage will not be permitted inside the Tower.
