Escape the city and spend a day exploring Wilsons Promontory, one of Victoria’s most loved national parks. Located at the southernmost tip of mainland Australia, “The Prom” is a wildlife-rich paradise packed with spectacular coastal views, white-sand beaches, lush rainforests and scenic walking trails.
Tour Highlights:
- Squeaky Beach – Walk along one of Australia’s most iconic beaches, famous for its fine white quartz sand that squeaks beneath your feet. A perfect photo spot and a must-see coastal gem.
- Coastal Walk to Tidal River – Stroll through native bushland on a gentle walk toward Tidal River. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to spot local wildlife in their natural habitat and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the landscape.
- Tidal River (Lunch Stop) – Take a break in the heart of Wilsons Promontory. Relax by the river, enjoy your lunch, and watch for wombats, kangaroos, or vibrant birdlife that often wander through the campgrounds.
- Mount Bishop Summit Walk – Take on an easy-to-moderate hike to a lookout near Mount Bishop. Be rewarded with panoramic views of the Prom’s coastline, mountains, and bushland—an unforgettable highlight of the day.
- Guided Wildlife Walk – Join your guide for a walk near the historic airfield, where you may encounter native Australian wildlife, including kangaroos, emus, wombats, and more.

Hotel pick-ups commence from most central hotels between 7.00am - 8.00am. For customers not staying in a City Centre hotel, the central meeting point is the Rendezvous Hotel, 328 Flinders St, Melbourne.

Terms and conditions for Wilsons Promontory Day Tour
- This tour uses smaller air-conditioned buses, allowing access to many areas not available to the larger coaches as well as providing a personal touch with the benefits of a small group environment.
- There is a maximum of 24 persons on each departure.
- We recommend this tour for guests aged 13 years and above with a moderate level of mobility & fitness
- Please bring appropriate clothing for all weather conditions and to wear sensible shoes. We also recommend you bring sunscreen, a water bottle and a hat. There are many paths, boardwalks, and staircases that provide great views of the cliffs and monoliths.
- No prams or strollers permitted.
- We reserve the right to decline groups larger than 15 guests joining.
- Children aged between 0-15 years pay a child price.
- Children 0-4 must use the baby seat provided, as sitting on a lap is not permitted for health & safety reasons. Parents/guardians are responsible for securing their children and ensuring they remain seated.
- For children 5-8 an optional booster seat is available upon request before the tour. Once placed in the vehicle, it cannot be removed during the day.
- Children under the age of 18 who wish to travel by themselves on any of our day or extended day tours must have a Parent/Guardian consent form completed and signed. Children under 16 must be with a parent/guardian aged 16+.
- Go West Tours reserves the right to alter fares, inclusions, vehicles, use other accredited tour operators during peak season and may cancel tours in unforeseen circumstances.
- Tour operation or alterations to itineraries may occur due to road or weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, public holidays, accommodation availability and/or other factors. The company gives no guarantee as to the exact arrival or departure times of tours as circumstances beyond our control may influence this.
- Go West Tours must be advised of any medical conditions or physical disability requiring special attention before the tour. Failing to advise us, may result in us refusing to accept the booking. We may also refuse travel if we feel that the tour chosen is not suitable without a suitably qualified companion.
- There is a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 24 persons on each departure.
Cancellation Policy:
Free cancellations for bookings cancelled with the operator before 24 hours of your chosen activity date. Guest cancellations within 24 hours of tour departure or failure to take up a tour for any reason will result in 100%
