Florida Everglades Airboat Rides at Sawgrass Recreation Park

Famous for being Florida’s most remarkable treasure, the Everglades are something you have to experience whilst visiting Florida. Located in Weston, the Sawgrass Recreation Park is home to an array of wildlife, many of whom are endangered in this fragile environment. Feel like you are flying over the waters as you glide across miles of river at speeds of up to 40 mph and learn about the fascinating history of the Everglades on your narrated airboat ride. 

The Reptile Exhibit allows you to take a walk on the wild side as you go back in time with an original dinosaur, the Florida Alligator. You will have the rare opportunity to hold a baby alligator and get up close to tigers, reptiles, panthers & birds of prey at the fantastic Exotic Wildlife exhibit. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture these amazing moments! If you would like to feed and interact with the animals be sure to visit Glades Exhibit. 

There is a choice of 4 different ways to discover the Everglades – 

• Florida Everglades Airboat Adventure - Enjoy an exhilarating 30 minute airboat ride across the Florida Everglades and experience the breathtaking beauty of these natural wetlands. Keep a sharp eye out for endangered wildlife as you glide across the glassy water.
• 60 Minute Private Airboat Adventure - Come and join your informative and friendly captain as they escort only your group deep into the Everglades aboard one of the custom airboats specially designed for small parties. This fantastic 1 hour tour allows you to visit exclusive locations as you whisk across the surface of the water. This safe, exciting and educational airboat ride lets you see the breathtaking beauty of Nature at its best. 
• Florida Everglades Night Airboat Adventure - For a truly unique Everglades experience take this 60 minute night time airboat adventure. You will visit exclusive locations in the Everglades whilst seeing and hearing a variety of reptiles, insects, and amphibians. This once in a lifetime adventure will create lasting memories for you and your family as you see the wild come to life all around you. This shared airboat adventure tour operates Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8.30pm. 
• Red Eye Exclusive Night-time Airboat Adventure - This unbelievable 60 minute private airboat ride takes you deep into the swamp to experience the Everglades by night. Your experienced captain will escort only your group across the waters aboard one of the custom airboats specially designed for small parties. Come face to face with nature’s nocturnal hunters and watch their eyes turn red in the dark!

All airboat ticket purchases automatically include entrance into the exhibit areas! 

Location - Sawgrass Recreation Park is located at 1006 N US Hwy 27, Weston, FL 33327, United States. This is 2 Miles North of I-75 on US 27 at Mile Marker 35. Please note GPS does not work well with the address so please email or call if you need assistance. The park is around 25 minutes from Fort Lauderdale Beach and 45 minutes from Miami Beach.

Hours of operation - Sawgrass Recreation Park is open daily from 9.00am except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
