Can I Get Last Minute New York Broadway Tickets?
Don't leave this important part of your New York holiday to chance...
No trip to New York is complete without taking in the spectacle of a Broadway show! And with so many shows to choose from you might think it’s easy to pick up tickets for your favourite show on the day. Here’s why you might want to consider pre-booking…

The biggest shows ALWAYS sell out

Wicked Broadway

Night after night, shows such as Wicked and The Lion King are sold out from the best seats right the way up to the ‘nose-bleed’ seats. So if it’s one of the biggest shows you’re looking to see you really need to pre-book. By pre-booking a good amount of time in advance you’ll avoid disappointment on the day and make sure you’re awarded the best seats in your price category so you won’t be craning your neck for the whole performance!

If it’s these shows and other headline names such as The Book of Mormon you have your heart set on, book as early as you can to get the best seats on a date that suits you.

There are limited places to pick up tickets on the day

There are only three places where you can buy tickets on the day for the less high-profile shows, which means you may need to travel out of your way to buy and collect any same day tickets you purchase. You’ll also have to get there super early if you do want to secure tickets as there are only a limited number available.

AND you need to be prepared to queue!

This is not one of New York’s best-kept secrets and you will not be the only ones trying to get these last-minute tickets! And, when you’re only in New York for a few days, you probably don’t want to spend hours of that standing in a queue. If you don’t manage to secure tickets that day, you’ll need to do the same thing all over again the next day!

Don’t risk being ripped off

Buying your tickets from an unofficial source is very risky – you could end up with fake or invalid tickets sold at an outrageous price hike outside the theatre. Don’t risk buying your tickets from just anywhere as scalping is a very common practice in New York City and tourists are often the victims – play it safe and get your tickets in advance from a trusted source.

You may end up spending more

Although you’ll have been queuing for a bargain, leaving your ticket purchase to the last minute could actually end up costing you more. If you or your travel buddy’s heart is set on seeing a certain show which you can’t secure bargain tickets for, you’ll be forced to scour the re-sale ticket sites and pay a huge premium for what might not even be the best seats. If a Broadway show is a staple part of your itinerary, don’t leave your experience (or your budget!) to chance.
