Morning

Start with the Heroes and Legends exhibit, which allows visitors to relive the thrills and dangers of America’s earliest space missions. Learn more about the dawn of the space age through a 4D multi-sensory theater and actual artifacts too. This exhibit also includes the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, where you can learn more about the heroes featured.

Then, take part in the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour (included with your admission ticket), which will see you visit some of the most mission-critical areas of Kennedy Space Center. Get closer to launch complex 39B and the Vehicle Assembly Building, and even hear from local space experts in their fields.

Tip: Want to make your experience even more special? Include a fantastic additional tour to your day, and go more behind the scenes than ever before. Click here for more information.

After your tour, it’s time to strap in for a simulation of the space shuttle’s eight-and-a-half-minute ascent into orbit, in Space Shuttle Atlantis with Shuttle Launch Experience. You’ll get a pre-launch briefing with Charles Boden, then get to experience what NASA astronauts have dubbed the next best thing to flying aboard a space shuttle itself!

Lunch

Spend some time exploring the many dining options at Kennedy Space Center, including Rocket Garden Cafe, Red Rock Grill, Orbit Cafe, Moon Rock Cafe, and more! For dessert/snack, you’ll want to try some of the legendary Space Dots - the ice cream of the future! Head to the gift shop and pick up some unique astronaut food and goodies to bring home with you and show your friends and family.

Tip: Ever wanted to have lunch with a real-life astronaut? You’ll want to Dine With An Astronaut at Kennedy Space Center. Enjoy a chef-prepared buffet and learn more about what it really means to live and work in space, from the experts themselves.

Afternoon

Take the ultimate trip to Mars with Journey to Mars: Explorers Wanted, and discover more about the famous Red Planet. You’ll uncover NASA’s plans to explore deep space, including Mars, asteroids and the moon. Don’t miss the live presentation and highlights about what’s happening at NASA right now.

Finally, finish up the day by taking part in Cosmic Quest (additional cost), where you’ll be able to build a Martian habitat and perform scientific experiments aboard the International Space Station (ISS)! Report for duty to Robonaut, and unlock each Adventure Challenge by completing mission objectives.

Tip: Fancy something a little quieter to finalise the busy day? Head to the on-site IMAX Theater and see a space-related film at the attraction - included with your admission!
