3. Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party
It seems like 2019 is going to be a year for celebrations at the Disney parks, as there will be another big party to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Lion King and what better place to have it than at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park? The Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party will be hosted by Timon and Rafiki and is guaranteed to get you on your feet. We can’t wait to join in the fun!
4. Dapper Dans
If you’ve visited the Magic Kingdom before, we’re sure you’ll be very familiar with the Dapper Dans. The famous barbershop quartet entertain guests by singing acapella Disney hits on Main Street USA. Next year though, the Dapper Dans will be changing their performance to include several songs that are all about Minnie and Mickey. We’re guessing there may even be a special birthday song!
5. New Themed Food & Merchandise
A party wouldn’t be complete without some seriously good party food and Mickey’s birthday celebrations will be no different. In honour of the special occasion, there will be a selection of tasty new snacks to try at the Magic Kingdom Park and these will of course be Mickey and Minnie Mouse-themed. You’ll also be able to pick up plenty of new souvenirs inspired by the adorable duo.
6. Limited-Time Magic
Disney haven’t revealed too many details just yet, but they have promised that there will be some pretty special surprises in store for guests. They’ve confirmed that there will be new entertainment experiences that will “pop up periodically around Magic Kingdom Park” so keep a look out during your visit.
7. Meet the Incredibles
That’s right, the Incredibles will soon be taking over Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park! Get your camera and autograph book at the ready and prepare to come face to face with the heroes you’ve seen on screen. Pixar Place will be transforming into a Municiberg city block where you can meet the famous family.
8. Incredible Party
That’s not all you’ll be seeing of the Incredibles though. There’s a host of new experiences lined up for Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park including a huge “incredible” party. At the end of the block you’ll find a lively party in honour of Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible and Frozone, to celebrate their superhero deeds. Don’t worry, you’re on the guest list too!

Another exciting new experience coming to Pixar Place is a hunt for the youngest and most mischievous of the Incredible family- baby Jack-Jack. You’ll have to search for a series of clues to find him!

12. New Lion King Photo Opportunities
There are so many picture-perfect places to snap a selfie at the Walt Disney World Resort and next year, there are going to be even more. Disney’s Animal Kingdom will have some brand new, 3D photo opportunities re-creating classic scenes from the Lion King movie. You won’t want to miss having your picture taken here.

The International Festival of the Arts will be returning for its third year at Disney’s Epcot Park. The event will run from 18th January- 25th February, giving you the chance to sample new food and admire impressive artwork.
14. Disney on Broadway Concert Series
One of our favourite things about the International Festival of the Arts is the Disney on Broadway Concert Series. If you haven’t heard of it before, it’s exactly how you’d imagine it. The spectacular Broadway-style shows take place at the America Gardens Theater and are an absolute must-see. Make sure you arrive early to get a good seat and enjoy an incredible performance as Broadway performers sing some of your favourite Disney songs! Next year, there will be more concerts than ever, with the series taking place seven days a week.
You’ll be able to enjoy all of the above events from early in the year, but that’s not all! There’s much more to see if you’re visiting later too…
15. Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival
Epcot is famous for its fantastic festivals and if you’re visiting between 6th March and 3rd June, you’ll be able to experience the International Flower & Garden Festival for yourself. Next year the festival will be expanding, with lots of new food as well as dozens of Disney-themed topiaries. Make sure you’ve got your camera with you as these are really impressive.
16. Garden Rocks Concert Series
The Garden Rocks Concert Series is part of the International Flower & Garden Festival and we think it’s definitely one of the liveliest parts. Next year’s series will be bigger than ever before running 7 nights a week. That means there will be an incredible total of 270 concerts over 90 days. Don’t miss it!
17. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is a thrilling new show that will be opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in spring 2019. During the show you’ll be able to see Lightning McQueen show off his best tricks as he speeds around the track. There’ll be a few more familiar faces too so keep a look out and prepare for a few obstacles along the way!
18. Meet Cruz Ramirez
Once you’ve enjoyed the action-packed Lightning McQueen show, head outside to meet his pal Cruz Ramirez. This new meet and greet experience will give you the chance to have your picture taken with one of the stars of the show.
19. New Firework Spectacular
Next year, Epcot’s famous ‘IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth’ firework show will come to an end. If you’re a fan of this dazzling display, don’t worry! Disney have confirmed that they are working on something new and exciting to take its place. The new firework extravaganza will debut immediately following the conclusion of IllumiNations and “will continue the tradition of nightly entertainment on the World Showcase Lagoon”. We can’t wait to see what it will be like!
If you want to experience IllumiNations one final time, you can still see it right up until the end of summer 2019.
