As families plan their upcoming getaways, we’re revealing the world’s most family-friendly airports for 2026. We know how stressful travelling with young children can be for parents, which is why we created our Happiest Airports for Family Travel study. The results aim to provide greater transparency around which airports worldwide are most likely to offer the best travel experience.
Oliver Brendon, CEO of AttractionTickets.com, has given his thoughts on the results:
“We know that holiday excitement can often be dampened by the stress of navigating a busy airport with children, so we decided to investigate which airports are the most family-friendly to help parents with their travel planning. We wanted to remove that stress layer and provide expert insight, so that you can truly ensure all members of the family are well-rested, entertained, and most importantly, happy before flying.
It’s great to see how airports, like Helsinki’s focus on quiet ‘living room’ style spaces, are removing stress for families at every touchpoint. Seeing London Heathrow and Dublin amongst global giants like Singapore Changi is brilliant too. It really shows how our local airports are world-class when it comes to prioritising family wellbeing, especially when preparing for long-haul flights.”

Data Methodology
To build the Happiest Airports Ranking, experts at AttractionTickets.com began with a seed list of over 140 popular airports.
The team gathered data across nine core areas: Google review ratings, dedicated children’s play areas, family security lanes, baby changing facilities, stroller/pram hire, sleep pods/rest zones, quality Wi-Fi for streaming, size of airport and neurodivergent family support.
Each location was then given a total score out of 20, based on performance across all nine data points. These scores formed the basis of the final ranking, revealing which destinations are most likely to relieve pre-holiday stress, whilst also being well-reviewed and top-of-mind for those seeking a holiday abroad.
This data was collated and analysed in May 2026.
