Strawberry Field has opened its iconic red gates to the public for the first time, allowing Beatles' fans to explore the historic site and be inspired. Once a Salvation Army children’s home where a young John Lennon played on the grounds, Strawberry Field is now a unique addition to Beatles tourism. With fully accessible facilities, the site is home to an interactive visitor exhibition, café, shop and garden.
The interactive experience tells interweaving stories of the house, The Salvation Army, John's childhood and early musical influences, as well as the evolution of the song. After an inspiring exhibition, grab a delicious afternoon tea box consisting of freshly made sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam, extra sweet treats and a cup of tea. For fans of The Beatles, discover the band’s legacy as you come together and explore Strawberry Field.
What happens on the day?
On arrival, you’ll show your voucher and be guided through the entrance. From there, it’s up to you to explore Strawberry Field and its interactive visitor exhibition.
Travel through the lives and times of the world’s most famous band as you discover everything from John Lennon’s childhood to his early musical. Boasting fantastic memorabilia, Strawberry Field invites you to come together and explore John Lennon’s legacy of music and peace. After visiting the exhibition, grab a delicious afternoon tea box.

Terms and conditions for Visit to Strawberry Field with Afternoon Tea in the Gardens for Two Experience Voucher
- No minimum age restrictions
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
- This experience is available Tuesday - Saturday. Excluded dates may apply.
- We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
- Please allow approximately 3 hours for the full experience.
- Please check opening, closing and last admission times when booking as this may change throughout the year. Dates are subject to closures.
- Once you make a booking with the Experience Operator, you are bound by their terms and conditions. Make sure you understand their rules regarding changing a booking (particularly at short notice) as amendments may not be possible in the case of infringement of these rules.
- A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher. The Cancellation Indemnity policy may provide a replacement voucher in the event of cancellation by the participant owing to circumstances beyond their control.
- Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase regardless of departure date entered. It is your responsibility to have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
- Full Payment is required at the time of booking. Experience vouchers will be issued on confirmation of payment.
- Cancellation Policy: Experience vouchers can be cancelled with a full refund if cancelled within 30 days of purchase. Experience vouchers are non-refundable after 30 days of purchase and 100% cancellation charges will apply. Please note: A refund cannot be given for a Voucher which has been partially used.
