Your group will have special access to be the first people allowed onto the funicular or elevator as soon as it opens for the day. This journey brings you 19 stories down into the gorge, complete with panoramic views, meaning you’ll be the first ones down to the docks and personally escorted onto the Niagara City Cruises boat. It’s the perfect time to pick your favorite viewing spot before the rest of the crowds arrive. The 20-minute cruise into the falls includes a complimentary poncho because the blinding mist from the falls drenches anyone adventurous enough to venture near.
Following the Niagara City Cruise, you’ll be immersed in the culture and history of Niagara Falls during a guided walking tour along the boardwalk. View the site of the former Honeymoon Bridge while your expert guide tells the story of how it collapsed, and hear the story of the restaurant viewpoint at Queen Victoria Place, where Princess Diana famously dined. The perpetual motion of Bridal Veil Falls and American Falls can be seen in action, while you hear stories about the brave daredevils who challenged the power of the falls by going over the edge. Your walking tour will take you directly to Table Rock Visitor Center where you’ll get pre-arranged access to the Journey Behind the Falls experience. You’ll get to climb right down the stairs into the rocky caves behind the Falls themselves. You’ll hear the crashing water reverberate through the tunnels and peer through an opening with a unique view of the waterfall. The path leads to a ledge on the side of the falls where you can feel its true power as the water comes cascading down close by.
